Congratulations from Perky Plants!

Hello, Friends!

I thought it was only appropriate to make a "Congratulations" card for the post when I get to reveal my blog posts winners!

First, there were four people who left me a message that they voted in the poll to let me know if anyone uses my blog archives to locate old cards I've created.  Although more people voted, which I greatly appreciate, the following four people will receive a small gift to say thank you for leaving me a message!

1.  Teresa Doyle
2.  Chris R.
3.  Lynn W.
4.  Kim Heggins

I wanted everyone to get to see this blog post first, so I'll be emailing you later on Thursday to get the address where you would like your gifts sent.

Since I'm in the giving mood, I also wanted to give some random people a gift for commenting on my blog.

Those lucky people are

1.  Sharon W. from Albuquerque, New Mexico
Sharon left a comment on the Riley and Company Sincere Compliment Card.

2.  Kris B. from Fowler, Indiana
Kris left a comment on the My Favorite Things Purrfect Birthday Card.

3.  Joyce from San Diego, California
Joyce left a comment on the Ellen Hutson Bold Blooms Card.

If you would like to go ahead and contact me, especially because I may not have email addresses for everyone, feel free to go ahead and email me.  My email address is
kebord2@gmail.com.

I would like to thank the blog Colour Q for awarding one of my cards the Color Q Queen Courier award for  Fintastic Friends.

Do you remember the ornery quilt card that took more hours to create than I will EVER admit because every thing I tried went wrong?  It won an award, too!  The Colour Me...! blog awarded it the Colour Me...Colour Connoisseur award for My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 Quilt Card.

Thank you to Color Q and Colour Me...! for recognizing both of my cards!

Finally, I want to give you a fun fact about my "Congratulations" card.  I used the die from Paper Smooches (love the fun font) and cut the word out of card stock 5 times.  Look closely and you'll see that the word is actually made of four different parts.  Then I glued each piece on top of the matching piece to make a stack of "Con gr atul ations."  Then, I glued them all down to make the word "Congratulations" but because of the stack, it has depth and height all in the same blue color!  It didn't take long and it made the card a little more special in real life.

I colored the happy flower stamp from Perky Plants, fussy cut it out (What is happening to me?  I DON'T fussy cut, except for the last three times here lately!), and adhered it so it looks like the little cup is sitting on the word.  Doodlebug paper, ribbon and a few dots completed my card.  I am entering this sweet little card in this week's Paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge.

Happy Stamping!

I had to laugh, the little plant reminds me of the Little Shop of Horrors with the man eating plant! Must be that devious looking smile on the face of the plant! Such a bright and colorful card. The way you have been creating all these great cards, it shows you are feeling better (at least I am hoping so). Slobbery basset kiss to Frankie from Ted.
