TSSC179 and LNS Challenge Bugs and Kisses

Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend and a special Father's Day!
This card features a lot of retiring Stampin' Up products that I'm going to miss!

I love the Sweet and Sour Designer Specialty Paper. I love the Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. But, most of all, I love "Bugs and Kisses." It's so cute and a stamp set I've reached for many times this year.

The card is based on Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. It also goes along with our LNS theme for this week featuring all animals, including bugs! I'm so glad so I could make one more card and share it on my blog featuring this set!

Happy Stamping!

TSSC170, UDICC31, & LNS Challenge Baby Card

I seem to be stuck on "Bugs and Kisses" lately. It's a very cute animal set, so it's not a terrible thing, but it seems to be my go to stamp set for a lot of different cards here lately!
This card actually fits a lot of different challenges for this week. The sketch came from Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This sketch is so versatile and is one I'm sure I'll come back to sometime. The color challenge came from Utah Divas International. Since they were the perfect colors for a boy card, I put them to good use. Finally, the Late Night Stampers challenge this week is to make cards and projects for babies! I can hardly wait for someone to have a baby boy so I can share this card with them!
Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin Up products to make this card:
Bugs and Kisses stamp set
Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, and Night of Navy Classic Inks
Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Basic Black Card Stock
Brights Designer Series Patterns Paper Stack

SSSC110 and LNS Challenge 114 Bugs & Kisses

Hello, Friends!
Well, after the drama of a near miss major car accident, this week is going much smoother! It's a good thing. I like peace!

This card is loosely based on this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I started out following it exactly, but then I wanted to stack my bugs instead of put them in a horizontal line. So, I left the sketch some at that point and used the second rectangle as a frame for my bugs.
The LNS Challenge this week is to use animal stamps, so it fit that challenge as well! It's such an honor to be on their design team.

I made this card for a lady I care very much about who hasn't been feeling well lately. I hope it makes her smile and brings a little joy to her day.

Happy Stamping!

SFF and LNS Challenge for Kids- Bugs and Kisses

I admit it. I'm tired. It's been a long week.
So when it was time to make this card, I wanted fast and simple so I could go to bed.

This was as fast and simple as I could think of for this sketch.
I put the blocks on angles so I wouldn't have to try to get them all perfectly straight. (I tried that first.) As it turned out, I liked them crooked better.

Since this card fit the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch and the LateNightStampers Challenge 110 focusing on kids, the angles looked more whimsical anyway. Whimsical- big word for a sleepy girl.

I'm going to get some rest. Then tomorrow I'll be...

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up items to make this card:

Bugs and Kisses Stamp Set
Real Red, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede Classic Inks
Real Red, Bliss Blue, Marina Mist, and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers
Whisper White, Real Red, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Soft Suede Card Stock
Smooch Illuminate Top Coat Pearlized Accent Ink
(makes the dragonfly's wings sparkle.)

VC Rocks Blog Tour

Welcome to my first VC Rocks blog tour! VC Rocks is a stamping group that "meets" every summer. Since most of us aren't going to the Stampin Up convention, we have our own virtual one. There are swaps (the best ever!), classes, chats, and virtual roommates. It is one of the highlights of my summer and I look forward to it every year.

With the 4th of July right around the corner, I designed these two cards as picnic or barbecue invitations. I know if you went by scale those ants would take over the world, not just the two different tablecloth designs, but I still thought they added a cute touch to the bottom of the card. I hope you enjoy them both!

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!
I love the Stampin Up Big Shot Lattice Die. Leave a comment on my blog and one lucky winner will receive 20 different Stampin Up Lattice Die Cuts from a variety of all four color families!
The winner will be drawn on Monday!

Bugs and Kisses and Sincere Salutations Stamp Sets
Real Red and Early Espresso Classic Inks
Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers
Whisper White, Real Red, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, and Soft Suede Card Stock

Then, weave horizontal white strips under the the vertical white strips and over the red ones. Then, weave horizontally red strips under the vertical red strips and over the white ones. Alternate between red and white strips with each woven strip.
Next, cut woven paper to fit through the Big Shot.

SFF Bugs and Kisses

I am happy it is Friday for several reasons.

1. We made it through and awesome week of VBS with 440 kids and almost 200 volunteers as small group leaders, games, crafts, snacks, storytellers, and worship leaders!
2. Friday is my day off this week. (I need it because of that awesome week of VBS. LOL!)
3. It's time for another sketch which means I got to make time to stamp!
All my cards aren't cutesy, but this sketch just screamed
the "Bugs and Kisses" stamp set to me!

Here are the Stampin Up! supplies I used to make it:

Bugs and Kisses stamp set
Real Red and Marina Mist inks
Real Red, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, and Whisper White Card Stock
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon
Circle Punches
