Happy Bird-day one more time!

Hello, Friends!

You may remember this card from a couple of weeks ago. I put it on my blog specifically for Paper Smooches, the company that made the stamps and dies used on the card, 4th Birthday/Anniversary. I thought I entered it in their "Anything Goes" challenge, but when I went back and looked, it wasn't there. I contacted Paper Smooches because I wasn't sure if I had done something wrong and they had to delete it (they had not) or if there had been a glitch uploading it (it seems there was.)

So, because they are such a wonderful company, they are letting me try again. I am going to enter my card in the Paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge today. They always have wonderful cards and I don't expect to win. However, I was proud of my card and I wanted Paper Smooches to get to see it since it was for their Birthday. "Happy Bird-day" is a sentiment that comes with the bird stamp. I thought of using the two lambs as "2 ewe" myself, instead of the usual, "to you." I thought it was a cute idea and other people might want to use it as well.

Thank you, Paper Smooches, for letting me enter my card since it didn't work the first time. I'm afraid it was probably my error, which makes it even nicer that they were willing to let me try again!

Happy Bird-day 2 Ewe!

Hello, Friends!

Happy Birthday to Paper Smooches! Yesterday, I told you it was their fourth anniversary. I like to think of it as their birthday, so today I have a birthday card for them. I have had this card in mind for a long time and now seemed like the perfect time to bring it to life. I love their super cute, whimsical style, although they also have some "serious" styles of stamps as well. As I also said yesterday, they also have fabulous sentiment stamps in all kinds of great fonts. They have dies that correspond with their stamps, which I've used on my card, but they also have dies that stand alone, like an adorable grocery cart, tags, words, and a lot more. If you've never checked out Paper Smooches products, I highly encourage you to do so right away.

All of the stamps on today's card are from Paper Smooches. "Happy Bird-day" was one of the sentiments that came in the set with the bird stamp in the cute party hat. "2 Ewe" with literally two ewes was my idea, though. I thought it was a fun play on words instead of using "to you" using two lambs or "2 ewe" instead. To make it all come to life, I used one of Paper Smooches alphabet sets, also super cute, to stamp all the words. This made everything match. I think the bright colors, the entertaining animals, and the playful font all come together to make a very happy birthday card in honor of Paper Smooches and for the person who will ultimately receive it in the mail!

Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge is H is for... My letter "H" is for "happy." There's Happy Bird-day, happy colors, and happy animals.

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is All Things Bright and Beautiful. There is a "Happy Birdday" card in the design team samples with a brightly colored fun bird like mine, so I think my card qualifies to enter as well.
