CCMC251 Button Buddies for Mother's Day

Hello, Friends!

Happy Mother's Day!  This is the card I made for my Mom.  My card actually fits three different challenges.  I hadn't done any for months so I'm making up for lost time!  First, the sketch comes from Create with Connie and Mary.  Then, I also met the VC Rocks challenge for this week to use 4 items that start with the letter "B" on your card.  My 4 things are "Button Buddies" stamp set, Baja Breeze card stock, a button, and Bakers Twine.  Finally, I'm using retiring products, the "Button Buddies" stamp set, the colors Not Quite, Navy, Baja Breeze, and More Mustard, and the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack, on my card.
I hope you enjoy it and that all the Mom's out there, including mine, are having a great day.

Happy Stamping!

SQSC43 Serene Silhouettes

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

You may remember that Mother's Day and my Dad's birthday were right together.  To not play favorites, both of their cards were late.  (yeah, that's the reason they were both late.)  So in an effort to not do that again, I used our Stampin' Queens Sketch for my Father's Day card.  That's better because if I make the card early, it will get there on time.  Except that if it's for this sketch before Father's Day, my Dad will see it on his computer before it gets to my parent's house.  Well, at least it won't be late.

My Mom's birthday is in October.  I think I'll just go ahead and make her card now, too.  Then, they'll both be early which will equal on time when all four cards are added together.  It's Tuesday night.  I need to go to bed.  That logic actually makes sense to me.  :)

Happy Stamping and Happy Father's Day to a great Dad!
We love you!

Angela and Frank

SFF and LNS Challenge Paper, Glorious Paper with Nursery Nest

Hello, Friends!

It's Friday!  Woo Hoo!

Today, my card was designed by following our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  I didn't need a baby card at the moment, but I'm sure I will sooner or later, so I made this one featuring the Nursery Nest Designer Series paper.  The use of Paper, Glorious Paper also qualifies it for our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week.  It was super easy, quick and didn't require a lot of supplies for new stampers out there who don't have a room full yet.  :)

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set
Basic Gray Classic Ink
Whisper White, Blushing Bride, and Marina Mist Card Stock
Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper
Word Window Punch

CCMC192 and LNS Easter Challenge Crosses of Hope

Hello, Friends!

It is Sunday night and I'm tired so I'm posting this card and calling it a night!

Our LNS Challenge this week is to make Easter cards and projects.  I love Easter!  The fact that Jesus came to earth, died on the cross to take away my sins and allow me to live with Him forever is reason to celebrate!  I pray that you, too, will find the joy and peace that only He can offer.  With that in mind, I created this simple card with the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.

Happy Easter and Happy Stamping!

LNS Challenge- Masculine

It's time for another LateNightStampers Challenge! I am so excited to be on the design team with some great stampers! This week, our challenge is to make a masculine card. I made a couple of these for two different guys that serve in our elementary ministry. One is 15 and the other will be in his 60s. Quite a stretch in ages, but I think it will work for both! I've already given the 15 year old his card and told him that I tried to make it manly. He informed me that the stripes do make it manly. I believe that makes it a success!
This card doesn't require a lot of supplies. If you're a new stamper, this is the perfect one to try!

Now go make some masculine cards for the men in your life, no matter what their ages! :)

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Party Hearty and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets
Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip Classic Inks

SFF Fast and Fabulous

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I made this birthday card for a special lady at work. She knows that I'm sending all of my leaders handmade birthday cards this year because she gets me the stamps for them. She wanted in on the action. I told her she'd have to volunteer for me. She pointed out that it was a special birthday- her 50th.

So, not being as tough as you might expect from my rough "Life with a Wiener Dog" exterior, I made her this card. She did volunteer for VBS with me last year and it is a special birthday, so that was close enough. :)
Now go stamp a card for a special lady in your life.
Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Fast and Fabulous and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets
Garden Green and Rich Razzleberry Classic Inks
Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Garden Green, and Rich Razzleberry Card Stock
Build-a-Bear Workshop Pawsitively Prints 2 Designer Series Paper
1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large, 1 3/8" x 5/8" Oval Large, and Scallop Oval Extra Large Punches
1/4" Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain Ribbon

You can see another sketch on Jennifer Weide's blog here. Then, make your own card and post it on http://www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/.

LNS Challenge- Hearts Abound

This is my first post for the Latenightstampers Challenge as a member of their design team! It is such an honor and I'm very excited to be in the company of such great stampers!

This week's challenge is "Hearts Abound." To enter, you must use at least one heart on your project.

I designed this card with the "Hearts Abound" challenge in mind. It was for my parents 41st wedding anniversary. (Way to go, Mom and Dad- two of my most loyal blog followers!) I knew I wanted to use at least one heart but I didn't want it to look like it was a Valentine's Day card.

Using Baja Breeze and Night of Navy as the main color scheme helped me accomplish this.
If you'd like to join us and share your own card where "Hearts Abound," you can make one, join us and share it here!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamps
Night of Navy Classic Ink
Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker
Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, and Night of Navy Card Stock
Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper
3/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon
Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of 4

December has been a hectic month, so now that it's almost over I'm ringing in 7-11. Seven cards to start off 2011! So check back in every day to see another creation I've made to bring in the New Year.

TSSC145 A Flower For All Seasons

This card is based on the Techno Stampers Monday Lunchtime Challenge 145 that can be seen here.

I made a very simple card with it. It's not fancy, but if you've been watching my blog for very long, you'll know that's what I like! It's a nice card for someone special this fall.

My favorite part of the card is the little ladybug on the side of the flower pot. It's such a sweet touch added to the stamp. Good job, SU Designers!

Black Stazon Ink
Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, and Soft Suede Classic Inks
