SSC241 and LNS Girly Girl Challenge Hello, Doily!

Hello, Friends!

You know the feeling when you're a day late and a dollar short?  Well, that's what prompted this card.  I actually made a family member a birthday card a couple of weeks ago so I would be able to send it in plenty of time.  I was so proud of myself.  Then, life got insanely busy (as it often does) and I didn't mail it.  So close and yet sooo far away.

So, now I have a "belated" birthday card to send instead of an "on time" birthday card to send.  You can see the first card on my blog on Wednesday.  This card was designed by following Stampin 411's sketch for this week.  It also fits the Girl challenge on Late Night Stampers.  With all the pinks, it's definitely girly!

Happy Stamping!
(and happy mailing after you stamp)

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and Hello, Doily and Wonderfully Worn Background Stamps
Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, and Melon Mambo Card Stock
Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series paper
1/2" Melon Mambo Scallop Dots Ribbon

SFF Sprinkled Expressions with Twitterpated DSP

Hello, Friends!

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday time!  I love today's sketch which was designed by Deb Currier.  I used a new favorite stamp set, Sprinkled Expressions which I also featured on Wednesday's card.  I also used one of my new favorite papers, Twitterpated, which I can't get enough of (in case you didn't notice that it's been used on a lot of my cards lately!)  This can be a Valentine's day card or I may just hang onto it for a while and send it to someone who needs it.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make this card:

Sprinkled Expressions Stamp set and Hello, Doily Background Stamp
Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red Classic Inks
Riding Hood Red Stampin' Write Marker
Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Pool Party and Island Indigo Card Stock
Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Circle Punches
1/2" Blushing Bride Stitched-Poly Ribbon
Stampin' Dimensionals

Now, check out Deb Currier's card that she made with her sketch today by going to http://www.artfeltimpressions.blogspot.com/.  Then, please join us by making your own card based on today's sketch and sharing it with us at http://www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/

CCMC170 and LNS Color Challenge Hello, Doily

Hello, Friends!

Happy Monday to you all!  I wanted to start off the week with a card I created using the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  It was a little out of my comfort range, but that's always a good thing.  The colors come from the LNS Challenge this week which is to use Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, River Rock, and Neutrals.  These are also out of my comfort zone, but I really like the way they turned out.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin Up products to make this card:

Hello, Doily and Petite Pairs Stamp Sets
Cajun Craze and Night of Navy Classic Inks
Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, River Rock, and Night of Navy Card Stock
Regals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon
Basic Pearls
Circle Scissors Plus
Tasteful Trim Die
Big Shot

HSS82 and SFF Hello Doily

Hello, Friends!

I hope you are as excited for the Labor Day weekend as I am!  It's too hot in Arizona to do much outside.  Okay, anything outside.  So, I'm looking forward to a peaceful, relaxing weekend.  It's been a busy month!  My plan is to clean and do household things on Friday and Saturday so I can spend time with friends and stamp on Sunday and Monday.  I hope you, too, have a safe and happy weekend!

My card today for the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge features the "Hello, Doily" background stamp.  Because I used shades of purple, it also fits the monochromatic challenge on the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog.  When I first saw it, I decided I didn't need it because it was similar to the Medallion background stamp.  Then, I saw card after card made with it.  Every time I saw it, that stamp would remind me of the doilies my Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma had made.  It instantly takes me back to their homes as a little kid watching them crochet.  With my Grandma's birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, I knew I wanted to make a special card for her with it.  I hope she likes it!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Hello, Doily Background Stamp and Petite Pairs Stamp Sets
Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink
Confetti White, Wisteria Wonder, and Elegant Eggplant Card Stock
3/8" Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon
Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches

Now check out Deb Currier's blog, http://www.artfeltimpressions.blogspot.com/, to see the card she made with this sketch.  Then make your own card and share it with us on http://www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/
