Every Little Bit "December" Directions

We did it! If you've been following along each week, this will complete your calendar! Be sure you send me pictures so I can see your finished designs. Even following the same directions, we'll all get something a little bit different.

Let's get to it! Here are the final directions for December.
Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make the December picture:
"Every Little Bit" and "Full Calendar" Stamp Sets
Real Red, Garden Green, and Basic Black Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black Card Stock
Modern Label Extra-Large Punch
Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of 4
Big Shot
Blender Pens
1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the background.
2. Stamp "December" using Basic Black ink on a piece of Naturals Ivory Card Stock.
3. Punch it out using the Modern Label punch.
4. Cut another Modern Label from Basic Black Cardstock using the Movers and Shapers Punch Window set.
5. Layer the two pieces on top of each other.
6. Using Black Stazon ink, stamp the stockings in a pattern on the Crumb Cake background.
7. Color them using Real Red and Garden Green Classic Inks and blender pens.
8. Take the 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and cut a piece that is a little more than 4" long.
9. Adhere this piece of ribbon from the top to the bottom of the background. (You can wrap it around to the back so there's no chance of your adhesive showing.)
10. Cut another piece of ribbon that is a little more than 3" long.
11. Adhere this piece of ribbon from side to side.
12. Cut a long piece of ribbon and tie it in a bow.
13. Adhere the bow where your other two pieces of ribbon cross.
14. Adhere "December" over the ribbon.

YOU DID IT!
Now show me those awesome projects you've been working on!

If you're just joining us, I made this calendar for my Royal Blog Tour post. I've been giving the directions for each month on Wednesdays. We are all the way up to November now!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following supplies to make the November picture:

Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Garden Green, Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant, Early Espresso and Basic Black Classic Inks

Paper Snips
Blender Pens

Every Little Bit "October" Directions

October is one of my favorite months on this project that I made for the Royal Blog Tour. I think it's because the bats are sooo cute! They have such happy little faces and are anything but scary for Halloween, even if they are flying in front of the moon. If you've been creating the months along with this tutorial, this is an easy one! It's not nearly as time consuming as some of the other ones. I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make October's picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets and Sanded Background Stamp
Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black Classic Ink
Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black Card Stock
Black Stazon Ink
Paper Snips Scissors
Blender Pen
Sponges
Modern Label Extra Large Punch
Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of 4
Circles #2 Die
Big Shot

Directions

1. Cut out your Crumb Cake Card Stock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the background.
2. Ink the Sanded background stamp with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
3. Stamp the Sanded stamp onto the background.
4. Stamp "October" with Basic Black Ink on Naturals Ivory Card Stock.
5. Punch it out with the Modern Label Extra Large Punch.
6. Use the Magnetic Movers and Shapers die to cut out another Modern Label shape from Basic Black Card Stock.
7. Adhere the Modern Label shapes to each other and then to the Crumb Cake Background.
8. Use the Circles #2 die with your Big Shot to cut out the circle that is about 1 3/4" in diameter from Daffodil Card Stock.
9. Sponge Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Classic Inks onto the Card Stock circle to give it more depth. Run the edge of the circle along the Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pad to give it a defined outline.
10. Stamp 3 bats onto Very Vanilla Card Stock with Black Stazon Ink.
11. Using a blender pen, color in the bats lightly with Black Classic Ink.
12. Cut the three bats out with your Paper Snips scissors.
13. Adhere the yellow moon to the Crumb Cake background.
14. Adhere the three bats to the moon. It's okay if they stick up a little from the background piece. This makes it look like they're flying!
15. Ta Da! October is finished!

Join me again next Wednesday for November's Tutorial!

Every Little Bit "September" Directions

Ahh...September. Back to School. I taught elementary school for eight years. I admit, when I walk past the school supply aisle, I miss it a little. Of course, the school supplies are out in July, but that doesn't matter. I still miss the excitement of "Back to School" time. As a result, September had to use the school bus from "Every Little Bit." I hope you enjoy it!
Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make the September picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets
Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Grey Classic Ink Pads

Every Little Bit "August" Directions

August makes me happy! I should clarify- in this picture, not where I live!
I live in southern Arizona. In August, it's 112 here. I hate that with a passion.
It was better this year. My body is adjusting. I haven't decided if that's good or not, because now I freeze when it's 60 degrees out. So that August makes me unhappy.

The smiling sunshine August makes me very happy! How can you resist his smiling little face?!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make the August picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets
Daffodil Delight and Basic Black Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Basic Black Card Stock
Paper Snips
Crystal Effects
Blender Pens
1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches
Modern Label Extra Large Punch
Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of 4
Circles #2 Die
Big Shot

Directions

1. Cut a piece of Naturals Ivory Card Stock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the background.
2. Stamp "August" on a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock.
3. Punch it out using the Modern Label Extra Large Punch.
4. Cut another Modern Label from the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows.
5. Layer the two pieces onto each other and adhere them to the background.
6. Stamp the sunshine onto a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock using Black Stazon Ink.
7. Using a blender pen, color in the sunshine using Daffodil Delight Classic Ink. You can layer the color so some of the rays look darker than the others.
8. Cut out the sunshine.
9. Punch a 1" circle from Daffodil Delight Card Stock.
10. Punch a 1 1/4" circle from So Saffron Card Stock.
11. Cut a 1 1/2" circle with the Circle #2 Die from Daffodil Delight Card Stock.
12. Layer and adhere the circles on top of each other.
13. Adhere the sunshine to the top circle.
14. Put Crystal Effects over all of the circles and the sunshine. I like to lay mine on waxed paper before doing this. It will take several hours to dry. Be sure to lay it somewhere where it will not be bumped or have other things put on top of it. (I know this from experience!)
14. Randomly cut long skinny triangles out of Daffodil Delight and So Saffron Card Stock.
15. Place them in a "circle"
16. When your Crystal Effects circles are dry, adhere them over the triangle rays.
17. You did it!

As always, I hope I didn't leave anything out! Just 4 more months to go!

Every Little Bit "July" Directions

Welcome to my Every Little Bit Tutorial! If you're making the blocks along with me, "Congratulations!" After today, you'll be more than halfway finished!
July is actually the first month I designed. Originally, I knew I wanted the three stars to be right down the middle. However, after I colored and cut them out, I realized they needed a lot more than just three stars! So the block with the ribbon, tag, and three stars became the final creation. I hope you like it!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make July's picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets
Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, and Basic Black Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, and Basic Black Card Stock

Every Little Bit "June" Directions

I admit it. June is my favorite. In the "Every Little Bit" stamp set, there are other stamps that could be used for June. The hammer and nails could be used for Father's Day. Bubble gum could be used for "schools out- let the fun begin." But, when picking the month of June, I had to go with the dog.

You see, Frank's birthday is June 30th. This picture would be his birthday wish come true- him, sitting on a huge pile of bones. Frank loves a good bone. He doesn't rush into them. First, he sniffs a new one. Then, he licks it once. Then, he decides if it is up to his standard. Some are, like Chewlottas and Busy Bones. Some are not, although I won't post which he turns his nose up when offered.

So June is for Frank. A lady at work said, "Oh, the dog days of summer!" That is clever, but I didn't think of that one on my own. However, if you choose to use the dog for June, feel free!

These are the Stampin' Up products I used to make the June picture:

Every Little Bit, Full Calendar, and Friends Fur-ever Stamp Sets
Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Basic Black Classic Inks
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
Black Stazon Ink
Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black Card Stock
Modern Label Extra Large Punch
Magentic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of Four
Big Shot
Blender Pens

Directions:

1. Cut a piece of Naturals Ivory Card stock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4".
2. Stamp "June" on the Crumb Cake Card Stock in Basic Black ink.
3. Punch it out with the Modern Label Punch.
4. Cut the Modern Label shape out of the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows in Basic Black Card stock.
5. Adhere the Modern Label pieces to the Naturals Ivory Card Stock.
6. Stamp the bone from "Friends Fur-ever" over and over to make a pile in Black Stazon ink. I started at the bottom and randomly worked my way up.
7. Color the bones with Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso inks with blender pens. Don't color all of the bones so you have some in the Natural Ivory color as well.
8. Stamp the dog on top of the pile of bones.
9. Color the dog with Cajun Craze ink with a blender pen.
10. Draw four little hearts in the corners of the background paper.

June is much less time consuming than some of the other months. I hope you enjoy it.

Happy Stamping!

Every Little Bit "May" Directions

Happy Wednesday and welcome to May! In case you're just started checking out my blog, I made this project for the Royal Blog Tour. I will feature a different month each Wednesday. Last week's April showers definitely brought May flowers!

I used the following Stampin' Up items to make May's picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets
Pretty In Pink, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, More Mustard,
Tempting Turquoise, Perfect Plum, and Basic Black Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Basic Black Card Stock
1/8" Certainly Celery Taffeta Ribbon
Paper Snips
Modern Label Extra Large Punch
Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of 4
Big Shot
Blender Pens
2 Way Glue Pen

Directions

1. Cut Crumb Cake card stock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the background.
2. Stamp "May" on Naturals Ivory card stock.
3. Punch it out with the Modern Label Extra Large Punch.
4. Punch out a Modern Label from the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows.
5. Adhere the two Modern Lables to the background.
6. Stamp five flowers with Black Stazon Ink on Very Vanilla card stock.
7. Use a blender pen to color the flowers with the different inks listed above. Some of them have a lighter color and some have a darker color in the same family. Use those when possible. If there is only one color, apply a light color to the flower. Layer the color to make it darker until you get the shade in the center you would like.
8. Cut out the flowers with Paper Snips scissors.
9. Cut a small piece of Old Olive card stock to 2 3/4" x a little under 1/2".
10. Cut small strips into the card stock to make grass. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
11. Use your finger to bend part of the grass up. This will add texture and show off the grass better.
12. Cut 5 pieces of 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon for the flower stems in different lengths.
13. Adhere them to the Crumb Cake card stock with a 2-Way Glue Pen.
14. Adhere the grass over the flower stems.
15. Arrange and adhere the flowers in heights that are appealing to you. They don't have to go right on the top of the ribbon.

I think that's everything!
Happy May Flowers in December and Happy Stamping!

Every Little Bit "April" Directions

It's Wednesday which means it's time for another month's directions!
I've been having some problems getting my posts up but I'm determined to make sure that doesn't happen anymore. Please wish me luck! Apparently I need it.

It's actually cold and rainy here in Arizona today. This is unusual for the Phoenix area. So "April" seems very appropriate, even though it's only a few days until Christmas!
I hope you enjoy it.

These are the Stampin' Up supplies I used for the April picture:

Every Little Bit and Full Calendar Stamp Sets
Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Basic Gray, and Basic Black Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Marina Mist Stampin' Write Marker
Naturals Ivory, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, and Basic Black Cardstock
Brights and Regals Brads
Modern Label Extra Large Punch
Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of Four
Big Shot
Sponges
Blender Pens

Directions

1. Cut the Crumb Cake Cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4".
2. Stamp "April" on a piece of Naturals Ivory Cardstock.
3. Punch it out with the Modern Label Extra Large Punch.
4. Cut out the Modern Label from the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Punch Windows Set of Four from Basic Black Cardstock.
5. Layer the two modern label pieces and adhere them to the Crumb Cake background Cardstock.
6. Cut out a free form cloud from the Bashful Blue Cardstock. Mine is about 2 1/2" x 1 1/4".
7. Sponge Marina Mist and Basic Gray ink on your cloud to give it a darker look.
8. Add lines into the cloud from your "lumps" so it looks like a fluffy cloud with the Marina Mist Marker. (You can see them in the picture easier than I can try to explain them!)
9. Adhere your cloud below the Modern Label "April."
10. Stamp umbrellas from "Every Little Bit" randomly under the cloud with Black Stazon Ink.
Mine just happened to be in a bit of a pattern but they don't have to be.
11. Color the tops of the umbrellas with a blender pen. I colored one each with Cherry Cobbler, Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, and Garden Green Classic Inks.
12. Put a matching brad in the tops of each umbrella.

You don't realize how many steps there are in creating these little months until you write them all down. I hope I didn't miss anything!
Merry Christmas and Happy Stamping!

Royal Blog Tour "Every Little Bit"

Hello, Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses!

I hope you are enjoying your tour of the Royal Blog Kingdom! Welcome to my castle! This is my first time with the Royal Blog Tour and I am so excited to be part of this fantastic and talented group of Royal Stampers! I am Princess Angela, an Elementary Pastor and Stampin Up Demonstrator, currently residing in Chandler, Arizona with the wonderful Prince Frankfurter.

My stamp set is "Every Little Bit." I decided early on that it would be fun to make something for the different months. I thought about making a calendar, but that is something most people have seen before. Then, I thought about making something to showcase all the months. The more I thought about it, the more I loved that idea!

I found a frame that would hold 12 little cards. Each individual opening is 2 3/4" by 3 3/4." This is the same size as Artist Trading Cards or ATCs if you've ever made those. The openings allow for a lot of dimension added to this project with ribbon, a button, brads, and Crystal Effects.

There are some constants between each of the months. They all feature "Every Little Bit" in each month. They all have Naturals Ivory or Crumb Cake card stock backgrounds. All of the names of the months are from the "Full Calendar" set. They are all stamped on Naturals Ivory or Crumb Cake card stock, as well, and are punched out with the Modern Label punch. The Basic Black background comes from the Movers and Shapers Punch Windows die. All of the line art images were colored with blender pens and ink from classic ink pads.

After that, each month is different, not featuring any of the same things twice, except for Crystal Effects! It's easier to see a variety of ribbons, hemp twine, brads, a button, punches, and free hand shapes when you view the pictures close up.

Beginning this Wednesday, November 10th, I will share the items used to make the monthly squares. We'll start with January (obvious, I know!) The following Wednesday, I will share how to make the February square. We will continue until all of the months have been explained.

Trust me! Making one month a week would be much easier than making them all at once! You can subscribe to my blog or just check back every Wednesday to get all of the information!

I am offering two blog candy prizes to help you make your own Every Little Bit display!

Please (1) make a comment on my project. Be sure to tell me which month is your favorite. If you would like to leave your email address along with your comment, this is fine.
(2) If you would prefer to keep your email address more private, please email your name and email address to me at
kebord2@gmail.com
(This is a RBT requirement that I must have your email address in one place or the other.)

I will randomly select a winner from someone who fulfills the comment and email address requirement!

One winner will receive all of the ribbon, brads, and the button needed to make your own Every Little Bit squares!

The other will win the months stamped, punched and mounted on the black background!
Either prize will get you on your way to making your own "Every Little Bit" sampler.

If you're wondering about June- June 30th is Frankfurter, my wiener dog's birthday! As you can tell from my blog title, he's a big part of my life. You could use the hammer and nails for Father's Day in the set, but I chose to use the dog instead! All of these bones are Frank's biggest birthday wish come true! The cute little dog can also signify the beginning of the "dog days of summer!"
