SQSC14 Gently Falling

I love Thanksgiving.  I hope that I live my life in a constant state of "Thanksgiving" for all of the many ways I've blessed.  So, it was with that in mind that I created this card.

The sketch comes from Stampin' Queens.  It's hard to believe we are already on our 14th sketch!  It was great to be back with them this week!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Gently Falling and Day of Gratitude Stamp Sets
More Mustard, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso Classic Inks
Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso Card Stock
Spice Cake Designer Series Paper
3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon

Day of Gratitude for my Leaders

I can't begin to tell you how much I love my Leaders. For those of you who don't know, I'm the elementary pastor at Chandler Christian Church in Chandler, Arizona. Every weekend we have around 250 elementary kids who come to one of our four services. We have about 60 elementary leaders who do everything from teach, run sound, direct kids to their classrooms, lead songs with goofy motions, hang out with the kids, and clean up our game rooms. I couldn't possibly do my job without all of them. I could go on and on about the wonderful, caring, encouraging people that they are, but since this is a blog and not a book, I'll try to contain myself.

When Thanksgiving was on it's way, I knew I wanted to do something to let them all know what an honor it is to serve with them and how thankful I am for each and every one of them. So, this is the card I created. I made one for each family that serves in the elementary ministry. It was the least I could do to say, "Thank you." for their dedication to our elementary kids.

Inside, I wrote a personal note to each of them. I wanted them to know specifically that I was thankful for them, not just, "Happy Thanksgiving, Angela." I also used the stamp inside that said, "Sending Thanksgiving Wishes with Gratitude and Appreciation for You." because it fit each and every one of them perfectly. Using the stamp set, "Day of Gratitute" on the outside seemed perfect as well. They are the best!

I used the following Stampin' Up items to make this card:

Day of Gratitude and Seasonal Sentiments (on the inside) Stamp Sets and Sanded Background Stamp
Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake Classic Inks
Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Card Stock
Victoria Crochet Trim
Basic Pearls
