SQSC35 and LNS Challenge 169 Upsy Daisy

Hello, Friends!

Happy Wednesday to all of you!  I was able to carve out some stamping time and got to make a couple of cards.  I'm excited to share them with you!

This past Sunday, Stampin' Up posted it's list of retiring stamps that will only be available through May.  I'll be featuring some of my favorite sets that are being retired over the next few weeks.  If you see one you can't live without, I'd love to order it for you!  Just email me with your list.

Today's design comes from Stampin' Queens.  I haven't been able to play the last few Wednesdays, so I was thrilled to have a card to share this week!  My colors for this card (and the one I'll share on Friday) comes from the Late Night Stampers Color Challenge this week- to use any pinks, yellows, and greens on your stamping project.  That was perfect for a soft spring card featuring the retiring stamp set "Upsy Daisy."  I love how it turned out.  It will be perfect for a special friend.  Being on both design teams, we'd love to have you join us with either or both challenges!

Happy Stamping!

Upsy Daisy

Hello, Friends!

This is a simple card, but I like how it turned out. It's one that would be great for beginner stampers to make.
It could be made with blues and look a little more masculine for a sympathy card or
it could be made with brighter colors for a "cheerier" look.

Happy Stamping!

The following Stampin Up supplies were used to make this card:

SFF Upsy Daisy

It's Friday! You have made it through another week. Now, I know you're looking at the sketch for today below and my card above and are probably wondering if I put my contacts in before I decided that this card was based on this sketch. Don't worry. If I didn't have my contacts in, I wouldn't be able to find the computer.

The great thing about sketches is that you can make them your own. So, for this one, I flipped the sketch on it's side. The ribbon is now the long strip of paper on the left side. Now, I still don't have the little circle piece, but everything I tried made the left side look too heavy. But, at least you can see how I came up with this card for this sketch.
My challenge for you is this- look for a sketch this week and see what you could do with it if you flipped it on it's side or upside down. They are made to be used in whatever direction works!

Happy Stamping!
I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Upsy Daisy and Trendy Trees Stamp Sets and Sanded Background Stamp
Regal Rose and Garden Green Classic Inks
Regal Rose and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers
Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, and Garden Green Card Stock
1 1/4" Striped Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon

Now check out the card Deb Currier made with this sketch here. Then, make your own card and upload it to http://www.sketchfrenzyfriday.com/.
