Be sure to visit and leave a comment on every blog in the hop because two winners will be chosen to receive free goodies from Unity Stamp Company.

My card features the Angie Girl, "Anna Girl."  I admit, I was a little nervous when I agreed to be in this blog hop, because I didn't know which stamp I would receive to feature on my blog.  When I opened the padded envelope from Unity, I could't have been happier!  This stamp couldn't have been more perfect if I had picked it myself!  I loved Anna and I loved the sentiment with her even more.  I knew I wanted to make a very special card to feature her.

This is not my usual style.  This is more of a shabby chic style and I tend to be more clean and simple these days.  However, I was very happy with this card when it was finished.  It was also fun to break out the doilies, clothespin, wooden hearts and thick bakers twine to embellish this special image!

Everything revolved around the colors of the polka dotted paper in the center, which I knew would provide a perfect color scheme for this card.  From it, I chose the colors to use to color Anna and the matching card stock and embellishments.  After coloring Anna, including her finger and toenails, I fussy cut her out (Can you believe it?!!) and used a rectangle stitched die to cut out my sentiment.  The stitching around the edges added just enough of an embellishment to help the words stand out.  I also colored the word "love" in the sentiment to make it stand out, since it is the most important word in the sentiment and matches Anna's hearts and the wooden hearts on the card.
The doilies, clothespin and hearts helped to achieve the comfortable, at home feel I was looking for in my card.  I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Thank you to Unity Stamp Company for the opportunity to share such a special stamp set with all of you!  Be sure you continue on today's blog hop by visiting Maria's blog, Ria Creations, after you leave me a comment to be eligible to win a prize from Unity Stamp Company.

I am also entering my card in a couple of challenges.  First, The Friday Mashup Challenge was to create a square card using the colors pink, gray, and sky blue.  Those are my main colors and my card is a square.  I am also entering it in Virginia's View Challenge #17 which is to add embellishments to your card or project.  The challenge actually says, "Decorate, decorate and decorate" and I decorated, decorated and decorated this card!

Happy Stamping!

A great card Angela. You certainly paid a LOT of attention to the details which, IMHO, is so important! I mean, painting her fingernails & toenails? Seriously, I thought I was the only one who would do that! LOL Terrific job!
