A Poll and a Personal Update

Hello, Friends!

I wanted to give you a little update as to my sudden disappearance!  The same virus that I had when February began came back with a vengeance and stayed with me long enough to send February off for another year.

I am looking forward to participating in Kathy Rascoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  She challenges crafters to color for at least 5 minutes every day for thirty days.  Unfortunatly, I've missed the first two.  It started on Wednesday.  I tried to color on Thursday but my body gave me a firm, "Not yet!" when I tried!  So, hopefully, I'll get to color on Friday.  You don't have to make full cards with your items you have colored, so I may just have some images colored in to share with you.  At least you'll know I'm alive and basically well if I have those to post!

Here's where I'm asking for your input!

There are lots of different coloring mediums I have to choose from-
watercolor paints, Copics, Zig markers or colored pencils.

My Copic skills could use some work since I haven't used them much for a year.  I have watercolor paints which are still new, Zig markers which I never have mastered, and colored pencils which I love but need a lot more practice before I can achieve the results I want.

Please go to my blog and vote right underneath my blog title which coloring medium you would like to see me (try) to use!

Watercolor Paints
Copic Markers
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Colored Pencils

I can't guarantee I will choose the one with the most votes all the time, but I'll do my best to give it a whirl!  Watercolors seem like they have a lot of setup which may or may not work.  I'll at least try, though if that's your pick!  You have now through Monday night to give your vote!

On a personal note, I found this Taylored Expressions post on Pinterest that has given me the best advice for finding a mate that I have ever seen!

To meet a man, he'd have to work at my doctor's office or show up at our house, which seems unlikely, but you never know what God has in store!  LOL!

Now, please go vote and help an indecisive girl put her stash to work!!

You are so funny - I don't even know what the Zip ones are. I chose the pencils as they are probably the easiest but I really love the look. I only have one Copic and that is the one to do shadows of the snowman and I have only used it a few times. I think I am too tightly wound to focus on blending and making things just right. I can't seem to stamp straight either. Whatever, at least maybe I can get a C for effort? I just found out the blender pens are suppose to be wet and not dry as a bone. No wonder I have not liked using the blender pens. I am glad I finally know it was just not me and was actually the pen's problem!

Hope you are feeling better. My coloring skills are bad but I always feel most confident with simple watercolor - anything else takes a lot of practice but the 30 day challange will give you some practice when you do it every day!! So I would advise you to use all your mediums and just enjoy it. Make sure to stamp several of the same image so you can start over. I've had to do that a lot!! I would go out of the line or didn't like the blending. Hope you enjoy the challenge!!

I would have to vote for water-color pencils. I need to focus on mine as well! Hugs
