Furry Cat and Box Birthday Card

Hello, Friends!
I bet I know what you're thinking- "Oh, she didn't get to post because her back is bothering her."
Nope!  I cut my index finger and it started to get infected even though I used hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic ointment on it right away.  If it's not one thing...
Now that my finger is doing better, I was able to share this card I made.  The only problem is that the kitty's face is easier to see and looks better in real life than it is in the picture!  Black cats can be hard to color so you can still see their faces, but the person I made it for has a black cat, so that's what I wanted to use.  Instead of just coloring the box, I paper pieced it to go along with the other patterned papers.  I love the little wooden accents that are so popular right now.  I added three different wooden hearts on the side of my card and colored them with my markers to match the card as well.  I hope the recipient likes it!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge #183 Happy NEW Year to use something new on your project.  I had specifically bought the Simon Says Stamp Furry Cat and Box stamp set to make a birthday card for this friend because I knew she would like it.  I'll use it for others, too, but this was the first time I used it.  It would be cute as a Christmas card as well with Christmas paper for the patterned paper around the box.
Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge #133 Anything Goes Any new card creation is welcome on this blog's challenge this week.
Seize The Birthday is brilliant!  Their blog challenges are designed to help you get the birthday cards made that you need.  They have an "Anything Goes" challenge 2 times a month that runs for 2 weeks at a time.  Then they also have "Toppings" challenges that are more specific.  The toppings challenge is "Party" right now.   I don't think my card really fits the "party" aspect, but it fits the "anything goes" challenge.
Lastly, I'm entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Something New.  My something new is using their furry cat stamp from my craft stash as I stated above!
Happy Stamping!
