It may be December 17th, but I'm still making Christmas cards with my favorite Christmas stamps! I absolutely adore the stamp I used today, "Furry Christmas" by Simon Says Stamp. The dogs and cat are so cute and they were so much fun to color. I love that it looks like they've posed for their holiday family portrait. Simon Says Stamps' "Falling Snow Stencil" with embossing paste, which I also love, gave me the perfect snowy scene to put my sweet animals in front of on my card!
I based my card on this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!
They make sketches for Clean and Simple cards. Isn't their name clever? Their design team sample cards are always great, so I encourage you to check out their website. I tried putting my animals on a white card front, which is more common for a CAS card. However, it blended in with the snow too much. Instead, I added a piece of darker patterned paper and that made the whole scene show up and shine much better. Clear Wink of Stella makes the snow sparkle in person.
The challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week is "Winter Inspiration." I think their "Furry Christmas" stamps definitely qualify!
The challenge at Merry Monday is to create a winter themed Christmas card. My animals fit that challenge as well!
Merry Christmas and Happy Stamping!
