Dr. Bill and a message from me!

Hello, Friends!

Tomorrow is Surgery Number 2 of 2015.  I'll have my left meniscus which is torn repaired.  I'm not worried about the surgery at all.  I am sure the doctor and all will be fine.  What I am concerned about is being in more pain.  You'd think by now I'd know I could handle it but I don't feel that way on Sunday night.  :)

I'm also concerned because I have no upper body strength but that will be my way to get around for awhile.  I still can't lift a gallon of milk (I can't even lift a half of gallon of milk) because I wasn't allowed to do any physical therapy after my back surgery because my knee was already damaged.  Now, after surgery, I will have to lift myself with a walker (no way I can use crutches) using my hands and jumping with my right leg to get around.  Needless to say, in our two story house, I will be marooned upstairs in my bedroom, my parents bedroom or the bathroom!  Our house is not huge, but it's too big for me to get from my bedroom, down a flight of stairs and to the other side of the house where we all usually hang out.  I just don't have the upper body strength to lift myself up and down the stairs, let alone all the way through our house.  I am concerned about having even less physical contact with the outside world than I have already.

So, please keep me in your prayers.  I know God will hear each and every one of them.

I do have some bad news though.  Even though I've worked very hard to cards made and photographed and kept the details of all of the products I used to make them, my laptop died and I wasn't able to get all of the posts made.  Luckily, I already had this card loaded so you could get it.  So, this will be my last post for a while.  You'll have to hold on for wiener dog pictures, too.  At least I know that will keep you coming back!  :)

I found this stamp set from Art Impressions a couple of weeks ago and just had to have it.  It's perfect for anyone having surgery or anything medical going on with a doctor present.  Trust me.  If a doctor is present, the wallet will have to come out.  Otherwise, the card is pretty self-explanatory.

So until we meet again, I pray that God will be with all of you and take care of you just like He will be taking card of me.  God bless you all!

Happy Stamping, Friends!

Love your funny card. I, too, am undergoing some medical challenges at the moment and trying to keep Dr. Bill from making too many house calls!!!

I will be praying for your surgery to be a success and also for a fast and complete recovery. I know the Lord will be with you during this challenging time, as He has been faithfully by your side throughout it all.

I would love to be an email pal with you while you are confined to your "kennel"! (smile) And afterwards, too! If you feel up to it, send me an email sometime. Hugs and prayers.

Angela I am praying for you again today. I am sure you will do fine and I look forward to hearing that this is behind you!
Your card is adorable! It makes me glad I live in Canada though. When I had my first child I spent 3 weeks in hosp. and she spent 8 weeks in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We would STILL be paying for it!
I hope Dr Bill has mercy on your wallet! LOL
All the best...

I am so sorry that you are undergoing yet again surgery.
When I broke my ankle, I also could not use crutches (fell twice trying to use them). Our bedroom was on the second floor. Paul put a folding chair at the head of the stairs, Using the rail, I could stand up, no cast, non weight bearing on my right leg. I set my left leg on the second step from the top and lowered my butt to the top of the stairs. Went down each step on my butt. Reversed it on the way up the stairs. I am not graceful, but with 4 German Shorthaired Pointers all woofing me along, managed to get down & up the stairs...
I wish you all the best and sending prayers your way...

Hugs, prayers and well wishes for a fast recovery after surgery. Then, we need to get you back on the road of recovery and lessen the pain. How you still can create these great cards while undergoing all these stressors is beyond me! This card is so fun and just perfect. Even the perfect hospital colors of the green!
