Hello, Friends!
It is hard to believe but this is my 500th Life With a Wiener Dog post!
This is also the second of three wiener dog cards during Wiener Dog week which I declared on Monday to celebrate my 500th post. (Did you get all that?)
I created this wiener dog card to celebrate! This sweet little puppy is from the Newton's Nook set Delightful Doxies! I stamped my dachshund, colored him, and fussy cut him out. I did the same with the balloon. Then, I figured out exactly where I wanted my doggie to be on the white card stock and stamped his head and the balloon string on it. Then, with foam tape, I adhered my delightful doxie and the balloon on the white card stock so they lined up exactly with the balloon string. Why do all that just to put the dog back onto white cardstock? The foam tape adds a lot of dimension and gives the dog and balloon more of a shadow that what I just colored in with my Copic markers. Besides, everything is better with foam tape underneath it!

Next, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, "You lift me up!" I chose that sentiment for this card on this day for a specific reason.
All of you who come to my blog lift me up!
With my back problems, spinal fusion surgery, and a slower recover than I would prefer, my blog has been a way to keep in contact with the outside world. Creating cards has been my therapy which has kept me from getting depressed by the fact that I still don't get to go out "just for the fun of it." Your comments and emails help keep me going. My blog helps to give me a reason to get up and create. At the end of the day, I have something to show for it- a fun card I get to share with all of you. You all truly lift me up!
Now, what would the 500th post from Life With A Wiener Dog be without the wiener dog, himself? The world will never have to know!
Frank posed for this picture just for this post (and a couple of treats.) I put my watermark on the picture, but I did not create Frank. God made a sweet little wiener dog just for me to help get me through the hard times and to celebrate with during the good times. He is smart, cute and funny. He brings joy to everyone who meets him. We have gone to different veterinarians while we lived in Illinois, Colorado, Arizona and now back to Illinois. I have heard at every one what a special dog Frank is. He is usually declared the favorite Doxie when no one else with a wiener dog is around at the time. I figure when doctors and nurses declare Frank the best, it's not just my opinion. It's a medical fact. They're right, too. Frankfurter is the best!
Thank you for your support of Frank and I over the past 500 posts!
Giveaway! To thank you for always lifting Frank and I up, I have a small stamp set and a die to give away to two lucky winners. Please leave a comment on this post. On Monday, I will post the two winners! You will only have 2 days to contact me so I can get your prize in the mail. Good luck!!

A big CONGRATS to you! Wow, 500 posts, that is a lot of amazing creativity if you ask me and your sweet puppy Frank is just as adorable as your card. Wishing you the best with your medical issues, sending hugs and prayers your way. I do have to agree with you, blog friends are simply amazing and can keep you connected and like your card says, they lift you up! Take care and looking forward to your next wonderful creation.
I love your card Angela. Its so happy and brightly coloured. You have done a great job on it. Frank is so cute sitting there, he does look rather well behaved! (Even if you had to bribe him with a treat! LOL)
Congrats on your 500th post and I hope your back is feeling better today!
Congrats! 500 posts is great! I love reading about you and Frankie. This card is just the best and so fun! The pup almost looks like a basset since it is not as trim as a doxie and the eats are longer at least in my opinion. I think I need to check that site and that set for suitable basset cards. But, for now, the Frankie celebration card is IT! Just perfect.

Adorable card! Love the wiener dog image, and all the bright and cheerful colors! Frank looks thrilled that it's wiener dog week! Congratulations on your 500th post! What an amazing accomplishment! Thanks for lifting us up with your delightful cards! and pictures of Frank!!
Hi again, I checked out the site and they have a basset hound stamp for the Howliday! Thanks for this site as I don't think I have visited it before. That set will be coming to my home before Christmas. It has been a fun week.

I know what a life with a wiener dog is all about because we had our doxie for 15.5 years. She went to doggie heaven last April and I miss her so much. They truly are a special bread. Congratulations on reaching 500 posts!!! I always enjoy seeing your cards and hearing how you persevere through your trials. Blessings to you and Frank! (I enjoy seeing his picture because he looks so much like my Ruby.)
WOW! Congrats on your 500th post! That's quite an awesome accomplishment and we are honored that you chose our stamp set on your post today! Your card is so adorable! I love the bright colors you chose and all the fun layers! I especially like the little blue bandana on the doxie! The photo of Frankfurter is so adorable too! I can tell from the photo that he is a super cool dog and a cutie too!
Thanks for playing along with our Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook Designs.
