Hello, Friends!
Welcome to the January "Ebony and Ivory" SU Stars Blog Hop!
You probably arrived at my blog by coming from Shelly Peck's blog,
You can also start the blog hop at the very beginning by going to
SU Stars home blog.
I created my black and white card with a Valentine's Day theme by using the new Hearts Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up. This also gave me a shape card for the LNS Shaped Cards challenge.
To make my card more complex, I tried to add lots of different textures. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create a debossed look on the solid black scallop heart. I used the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to deboss the white heart. Then, I traced the lines with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. The red Glimmer paper heart adds another texture and dimension since I attached it with a Stampin' Dimensional. Finally, I mounted my sentiment on Basic Black paper that had been embossed using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It is simple but elegant.
Happy Stamping!
I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:
Vintage Vogue Stamp Set
Whisper White and Basic Black Card Stock
Basic Black Classic Ink
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
Red Glimmer Paper
Hearts Framelits Dies
Elegant Lines and Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
Big Shot
