SFF Elegant Lines Share

Good morning, Friends!
This is the card I created for today's Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge. As you'll see, I turned it on it's side and added the bow and sentiment. I love these soft colors for a baby, new Mom, or good friend. I haven't used the "Elegant Lines" embossing folder very often, but I love the texture it gives to this card. It's an easy card to create and could be very elegant or playful depending on the color scheme you choose.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Great Friend Stamp Set
Chocolate Chip Classic Ink
Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Chocolate Chip Card Stock
Circle Punches
Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
Elegant Lines Embossing Folder
Big Shot

For You Flower Share

Happy Administrative Assistant's Day! We have a wonderful admin for our Children's Ministry Department at work. She does a great job and is super sweet. This is the card I made to celebrate our amazing admin. I hope she will like it!

I did try placing the ribbon a little bit lower than in my original design. It just seemed like everything was a little too high in the first picture. It doesn't make a huge difference, but I liked it better. This card is based on the sample on page 19 of the Stampin' Up catalog. I changed a few things and added a few more layers. Don't forget what a great resource the SU catalog is when you're looking for card ideas!

Happy Stamping!

LNS Challenge 118 Strength and Hope

When I was thinking about making a patriotic card for this week's LNS Challenge 118, I thought of using these butterflies in Real Red on the Night of Navy striped papers. I had planned to use a different sentiment, but I realized the sentiment from "Strength and Hope" was perfect for anyone serving in the military.
"Courage, unity, survivor, kindness, and strength" all are perfect descriptions for those in the Armed Services.

For all of you in the military or with someone you love in the military, the last words in the sentiment stamp, "thank you," don't begin to express my gratitude for your sacrifice.

My card is based on this week's sketch from Create with Connie and Mary. I just turned it on it's side to accommodate the sentiment better.

Happy Stamping!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I'll have a card, tomorrow!

I've been having some nasty headaches and migraines lately, so I haven't been able to stamp and post on my blog. Never fear! I have today off and finally don't have a nasty headache so I'll have a new card for you tomorrow.
Happy Stamping!

The Birds and the Bees

This is probably one of my most favorite cards I've ever made.
I got the idea for it when I was thinking of ideas to make for more baby cards.
I think it is funny and cute. I like that it's clever. I like that I thought it up all on my own! I hope everyone gets
"The birds plus the bees equal babies!"
It wasn't difficult to make and could be made for a girl or boy.

TSSC170, UDICC31, & LNS Challenge Baby Card

I seem to be stuck on "Bugs and Kisses" lately. It's a very cute animal set, so it's not a terrible thing, but it seems to be my go to stamp set for a lot of different cards here lately!
This card actually fits a lot of different challenges for this week. The sketch came from Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This sketch is so versatile and is one I'm sure I'll come back to sometime. The color challenge came from Utah Divas International. Since they were the perfect colors for a boy card, I put them to good use. Finally, the Late Night Stampers challenge this week is to make cards and projects for babies! I can hardly wait for someone to have a baby boy so I can share this card with them!

SFF and LNS Challenge Paisley Petals and All Holidays

I've been stamping a lot here lately. I'm going to have a garage sale soon. So, on the nights that I still have lots of energy, I work on the garage and getting things ready for it. On the nights that I'm tired, I've been stamping. (This explains the "I've been stamping a lot lately!")

When I saw this sketch, the top reminded me of a quilt. My top ended up being a lot larger and had the diamonds going the opposite way, but it was definitely inspired by this sketch. This also fits the LNS Challenge to use flowers on a card or project.

I also got to feature the new Stampin' Up designer series paper, "Paisley Petals." It's a preview of what will be in the new catalog which beings July 1. You can purchase it now with a $20 order, or get it for free with a qualifying party. Of course, I'd be happy to help you with either!

Happy Stamping!

SSC198 and LNS Challenge Inspired By Nature

Spring has sprung, everyone! In Arizona, there are flowers all year long, so it's easy to take them for granted. In the midwest, where I grew up, I remember how special it was when the first daffodils and crocus plants began to bloom. There was always a decent chance it was going to snow on them, but it still was a sign that spring was on it's way. So this is my card to commemorate the green grass and flowers that announce spring is on it's way.

My sketch came from Stamping 411. They always have great sketches to play with when you're looking to make a great card! Because of the flowers, it also meets the LNS Challenge for this week.

Happy Stamping!

CCMC 145,PPA88 LNS Flower Challenges- Fast and Fabulous

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope this little card brings some joy to your day. I think it looks sweet and cheery with the happy little yellow flower. I will probably end up stamping a sentiment on it, like "Thank you" or "Happy Birthday" when I use it. So for now, it's just a nice yellow flower!

It also meets the criteria for three challenges. "Create with Connie and Mary" designed the sketch. "Pals Paper Arts" came up with the colors, although I did have to add some Early Espresso to make the pale colors stand out. Then the Late Night Stampers Challenge for this week is to create a project with flowers. It's always fun to be given a starting point (a big one in this case) and then to see what you can create within those guidelines.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Fast and Fabulous Stamp Set
Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizazz Classic Inks
Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Card Stock

SFF Springtime Vintage

It's time for a Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch. I have to admit, this one was a little harder for me. For some reason, I just didn't "see" what to do with it. Normally, a stamp set or color scheme jump out. This time I had to think about it. I hope you like what I came up with for today's card!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

FTL134 and LNS Challenge 115

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

This week's Late Night Stamper's Challenge 115 is to make a card or project for Mother's Day. I used the sketch challenge on Clean and Simple Stamping's blog to make that card. I like clean and simple stamping so this sketch is perfect for me!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Morning Cup and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Perfect Plum and Crumb Cake Classic Inks
Basic Black Stazon Ink
Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, and Crumb Cake Card Stock
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
Big Shot
Word Window and Circle Punches
Blender Pen

TSSC168 Uncharted Territory

What is wrong with me?

Boy- there's an open ended question. It's also rhetorical. Please don't send me a top ten list.

My problem is with following sketches. I find a sketch I like and then I do about 70%-80% and then change it at the end. That's why I have a lot of "this card is based on the ___ sketch." "Based on" means I started to follow the sketch and then I changed it at the end.

Now I know I've got artistic license and all that stuff. I also know when I share a sketch I don't care if people follow it exactly. So, most people probably don't mind if I don't follow their sketch exactly either.

This card was changed at the end out of necessity. First, I'm not very good with masculine cards. So, I recently ordered this set, Uncharted Territory, so I could make some "boy cards" for the men who serve in my elementary ministry. As it turns out, the sailboat was a little too big for the sketch. Then, this didn't leave me enough room for the little rectangles. Instead, I had to stamp "Birthday Wishes" below. It looks fine. I just wish I could follow a sketch to the very end! Oh, well! Maybe next time!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Uncharted Territory and Sincere Salutations Stamp Sets
Bravo Burgundy, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso Classic Inks

SFF and LNS Challenge 114 Bold Blossom

It's that time again! It's Sketch Frenzy Friday day and I was in the mood to celebrate spring. In normal areas of the country, it is spring. In Arizona, (which I do not count as normal) it is going to be 94 degrees today. I wish that was an April Fool's joke, but it's not. 94 on April 1st. No worries though. By October, it will be back in the 80s. October is just right around the corner, right?
Now that's an April Fool's joke.

Since a butterfly is an animal, this card also works for the Late Night Stampers Design Team challenge this week!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Bold Blossom Stamp Set
Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, and Pear Pizzaz Classic Inks
