Hello, Friends!
Let me first start by apologizing for the picture above. It's definitely not the best ever of a card that's much cuter in person. Unfortunately, I am getting yet another migraine headache and just want to post this and crawl into bed in my dark, cool bedroom. Hopefully after a good night's rest, it will be gone in the morning and I won't have to stay in my dark, cool bedroom!
The LNS Challenge this week is to make patriotic cards in honor of the tenth anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. I don't have a lot of patriotic stamps, so I made this card instead. When I think of September 11th, one of the things that stands out in my mind is how the whole country seemed to come together to support each other during an incredibly difficult time in our country's history. I used Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake inks as darker colors of our red, white and blue. I followed the sketch from Stamping 411 as my guide. Luckily the card was already made before the migraine hit and only the picture needed to be taken.
Happy Stamping
(without any more nasty headaches!)
I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:
Lean On Me Stamp Set and Distressed Dots Background Stamp

Black Stazon Ink
Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker
1/2" Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon
Basic Pearls
Circle Punches
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Big Shot
