Hello! I am Angela Walters. Frankfurter is my wonderful wiener dog and this blog shows my love for both Frank and Stamping. I used to be able to post cards on my blog 3 or occasionally even 4 times a week. Unfortunately, in early 2013, I began having terrible back problems which now keep me in bed 20 or more hours a day. This pain also keeps me from stamping and playing with Frank as much as I would like! When I can, I will continue to post cards and Frank pictures to this blog. I am a Christian and try to glorify God in everything I do. Even with the debilitating back and leg pain that I have to deal with 24 hours a day, I can honestly say God has truly blessed me! My life with a wiener dog is a lot different than it used to be, but it's still a great life!
Let me first start by apologizing for the picture above. It's definitely not the best ever of a card that's much cuter in person. Unfortunately, I am getting yet another migraine headache and just want to post this and crawl into bed in my dark, cool bedroom. Hopefully after a good night's rest, it will be gone in the morning and I won't have to stay in my dark, cool bedroom!
The LNS Challenge this week is to make patriotic cards in honor of the tenth anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. I don't have a lot of patriotic stamps, so I made this card instead. When I think of September 11th, one of the things that stands out in my mind is how the whole country seemed to come together to support each other during an incredibly difficult time in our country's history. I used Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake inks as darker colors of our red, white and blue. I followed the sketch from Stamping 411 as my guide. Luckily the card was already made before the migraine hit and only the picture needed to be taken.
(without any more nasty headaches!)
I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:
Lean On Me Stamp Set and Distressed Dots Background Stamp
Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Classic Inks
I hope you are enjoying my cards and pictures. Please feel free to direct others to my blog to see my creations. If I have inspired you, please give me credit and do not post my creations as your own. If you do and I find out, Frank will come to your house and bite you. :)
