Hello, Friends!
Surprise! Surprise!
I have more cards for you!
This card fit this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #238 which you can see here perfectly! I made if for a dear friend who was recovering from surgery. Actually, I made her a get well soon card first, but she never received it. We still don't know what happened to it! So, by the time I was ready to send her another card, it was kind of too late to say get well soon, because she was in much better shape. Since she's a fellow stamper, I made her this card instead. Hopefully it put a smile on her face!
I think this sentiment is hilarious. It's from Riley and Company. They make a bunch of hilarious sentiments which you'll be seeing more of before long.
This one cracks me up.
When I first started selling Stampin' Up supplies, we used to tell people that they'd actually save money on cards because they could make the cards they needed themselves. I haven't done a Stampin' Up party in years and I haven't been to one, either, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a selling point anymore. You have to have the stamps, the ink pads, the card stock and adhesive. If you love this hobby, you'll add more stamps, more ink pads, more card stock and add die cuts, a die cutting machine, markers, colored pencils, embossing powder, an embossing gun, embossing folders for the die cutting machine, not to mention glitter, sequins, ribbon, buttons and enamel dots for embellishments.
Before long, the card that you could have bought from Hallmark for $7 cost $92 because of all of the craft supplies it took to make it.
This stamp is funny because it is so very true,
as all of us paper crafters know all too well.
The card itself is pretty straightforward. If you have any questions about how I made it, feel free to leave them in the comments section and I will be happy to answer them.
Since this is actually posting on my blog on Tuesday, I will be able to enter it into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge to Stamp It seen here. There was lots of stamping since the floral image had lots of different parts to it!
Happy Stamping, Friends!

Super pretty card! I love your take on the sketch and super fun (&a true!) sentiment!
Love that sentiment, it's so true. The flowers are so pretty.
Thank you for joining us at Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Pretty card and I really like the colors you used. When I need a smile, I like to hit the Riley website and read some of their funny stamps. They have some really fun ones. I have looked at this one and have been tempted but then if Mike saw it - I would be in trouble. Well, for a few minutes anyway. He still doesn't see why I would take the time to make cards when you can go buy them already made. Plus, the expense and all the stuff it takes to create a card. Yet, he can spend a ton of money just getting the window frames just right and get every single splotch of paint off the house before we prime and paint it. Talk about tools, gadgets, and stuff!
Anyway, I am so excited to see another card today especially one so pretty and those flowers are just perfect! I am sure your friend will love it!
