Cupid's Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello, Friends!

It's hard to believe it's February already and that Valentine's Day is just around the corner!  For my first Valentine's card I'm sharing with you, I used this fabulous Cupid Stamp from Art Impressions.  I've had this stamp for a while and my back finally cooperated around Valenentine's Day so I could use him!  I love everything about this guy- from his chubby bald head to his heart boxers!  I actually colored Cupid at the beginning of Kathy Rascoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge in the middle of January.  I've been coloring a lot and have all kinds of images to share as I make them into cards!

The card itself is pretty straightforward, so I won't explain how I made it.  However if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments section and I will answer them right away!

I will take this time to ask a question however!
Some companies spell their thicker paper
Card Stock,
like My Favorite Things and Gina K
while others spell it
Cardstock,
like Papertrey Ink and Stampin' Up.

Which is your preferred spelling?  I try to use the spelling that the company uses in my list of supplies.  However, sometimes, like today the two different companies use two different spellings.  It looks like I spelled one wrong, although it's hard to decide which one it is!   :)

I am entering this card in four challenges.

The Paper Players Sketch Challenge:  PP378 provided the sketch I used for my card.  Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge is Anything Goes.  Addicted to Stamps and More's Challenge is Make Your Mark.  This challenge is to color in an image on your card using markers, pencils, paints, chalks, etc.  You could also use a technique to color.  In my case, I colored my sweet little Cupid with Copic Markers.  Finally, the challenge at Just Add Ink is to Just Add Romance.  I think my Cupid ready to shoot his sparkly arrows at a love interest is romantic, so I'm entering it there, as well.

Stay tuned for more Valentine's Day cards as well as other creations coming in the future from my colored images!!

  5. Love your card! Red Copics are challenging to use without bleeding across the lines - you did a beautiful job with that. Very nice shading on the heart, and Cupid's rosy cheeks are too cute! I'm always happy to see what you post, and to read that you've felt able to make something.
