VC Rocks June Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to VC Rocks 2nd Blog Hop of this summer!  If you would like to start at the beginning, click here.  This will take you to VCRocks website and you can click on each card made by our talented members!  VC Rocks is a group that I have been a member of for 10 years.  Each summer the group meets over the internet, offers swaps, sends cards to each other and has a lot of fun together!  It was originally started for people who were unable to attend the Stampin' Up Convention that meets each year in July.  Some people are Stampin' Up demonstrators and others just like the products, like me.

This blog features products from the new catalog that was released at the beginning of June.  I haven't ordered from the new catalog, but I have started participating in catalog shares, where 6x6 pieces of the new Designer Series Paper and other new products are offered in smaller portions.  I love this option because then I get to see all of the new patterned papers, new ribbons, and other items up close.  Then, if I have a couple favorites (like the paper I used on this card) I can order a full package of it.  The patterned paper I used is called "Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack."  It is a 6" x 6" pack as opposed to the usual 12" x 12" size of paper that Stampin' Up usually offers.  I love this size and it was great for the sketch that inspired me.

Match The Sketch Challenge No. 078 was perfect for showcasing this new paper.  You can see the challenge here, if you would like.  You'll notice right away the blog isn't directly in English.  As Stampin' Up moves around the world, so have the challenges.  It's great to be a part of them, no matter where they are.  It is translated into English for you below the original language of the blog.

Although my card doesn't directly have any stamping on it, like my usual cards, I still think it features some of the new Stampin' Up products of the 2015-2016 catalog well!

Don't forget to go to the VCRocks blogsite here to see the great creations of our other members!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack
Calypso Coral and Pacific Point Card Stock
Butterflies Thinlits
Deco Labels Collection Framelits

Hello, Friends!

Hello, Friends!

I just wanted to take a moment and give you a health update.  My brain says, "You're healthy!  You're healed.  You want to go here.  You want to go there.  You want to stamp.  You want to make cards.  You want to work so you can buy more stamps.  LOL!"

My back and my body says, "You are not healthy.  You aren't healed yet.  You can't go here.  You can't go there.  You want to stamp, but you just can't yet.  You want to make cards but you just don't have the energy yet.  You haven't recovered enough yet.  You want to work so you can take care of your own bills and buy more stamps but unfortunately, you are no where near that yet."

I am very lucky because I am getting better, it's just slower than I would like.  It's a lot slower than I would like!  I really didn't think it would take this long to bounce back.  Every night when I go to bed I think, "I want to make a card tomorrow." and then I can't because I'm too worn out.  So I think it again the next night.

Thankfully, I was able to be the Growing in Unity girl because I had made my cards before surgery and just had to take pictures and get them on my blog.  You would think that would be easy, but it was a hard week.  It was fun and great to have new people visit my blog.  It was just hard.

So, be please continue to be patient with me and as soon as I can I'll have cards to show you again.  I miss stamping.  My Pinterest page is awesome, though, as I live vicariously through other stampers!  Make a card for me until I can get going again.

Happy Stamping!
