People Like You

Hello, Friends!

I'm posting this card before my back surgery at the beginning of March because right now when you receive this, I should still be recovering. I created this card awhile ago- at least nine months or better.  I think it's ironic that it's the same colors as the little girl in the bedroom which I made several months later.  They just happened to finally get posted around the same time.  Apparently, I like these soft coral colors together!

Even though I made it a long time ago, I want all of you who read my blog, have said prayers for me, and/or have sent me messages to know how much I appreciate them.  The world truly is a better place because of beautiful people like you.  Please keep those prayers coming and hopefully I'll be back to posting new cards soon.

I made this card by stamping the flowers on white card stock and then coloring them with Copic markers.  My shading wasn't fabulous back then, but it was getting better!  The sentiment is part of the flower stamp.  After stamping the whole stamp on the white card stock, I stamped it again on the lighter coral card stock and cut it out.  I outlined it in the same color as the darker coral and put it over the flowers.  The great thing about the sentiment is that you could just use it by stamping and cutting it out any time you wanted.  It's such a nice little saying and applies to so many different people, so it's very handy that it can be used separately.  I put the card stock on a very thin layer of light card stock, on patterned paper, and then on the same light card stock again.  I colored my pearls with Copic markers so they matched the rest of the card and it was complete.

Thank you, again, for all of your prayers and support.  I hope to talk to you soon!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Easter!

Hello, Friends!

Happy Easter!

I'm writing this the night before my back surgery, but you should be reading it one month and one day after it.  I just couldn't let Easter go by without a message.  I had wanted to make a religious card for the Easter post on my blog but wasn't able to get it done in time.  I actually made this card for my Grandma for Easter 2014.  I had no idea not getting cards posted on my blog would actually be beneficial when I wanted it to keep going later!

Although the last few years have been rough, I could not have gotten through them without Jesus.  Jesus died on the cross as the sacrifice for my sins.  He did this so I could spend eternity in Heaven which is why I celebrate Easter.  I have a new life in Christ.  Just like spring brings new life in bunnies and chicks, I have a new life with God's love and hope in it.  He didn't just do this for me, but for you as well.  Jesus has helped me get through all the health problems I've had by giving me strength and encouragement.  He is the ultimate physician that will heal my body.  I know He is the one who brought me to a wonderful, caring doctor and guided the hands of this same surgeon who worked on my back.  In spite of everything, I always have hope because of my faith in Christ.  I hope that each of you can find this same life with this peace, even in the midst of what seems like it's been one problem after another.  God is truly good and it's because of Him I can keep going, no matter what this life with a wiener dog holds.

Have a wonderful Easter and
Happy Stamping!
