SFF For the Birds

Hello, Friends!  I hope you've all had a great week.  I cannot believe this is the last weekend in June!  This month and year is flying by!

Today's card is based on Deb Currier's sketch for our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  Deb is an amazing stamper.  I love her sketch, but I had a hard time getting my card to look as cute as the sketch!  After about 2 hours, I finally was satisfied enough to leave it alone.  I love the bright colors of it, I just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted.  That's the great part about stamping.  Not every card has to be the best card ever.  Most likely, the people who get this card will smile because they knew I was thinking about them, which is really the point of stamping cards in the first place!

Don't get hung up on making the perfect card!  Just stamp to show someone you care!

Happy Stamping!

MDS Monday Welcome Card

Hello, Friends!

Good MDS Monday to you!  When I lived in Arizona and a new person joined our elementary ministry team, I would send that person a welcome card.  At first, I thought I would just sign it, but then I decided it would be more fun if everyone on our team signed it.  That way, the new person would get a card from everyone who led in our ministry.  Back then, I would make the cards completely.  Unfortunately, if I was really busy someone new might miss out on a card because I didn't have time to make one.  With My Digital Studio, that would never have to happen.  I could have a bunch of cards printed at once with Stampin' Up's printer or I could print them as I needed them.  So, last night I created this card.  It was so easy I could do several different styles and have them all at my fingertips.  I love the convenience of MDS!

Happy Stamping!

SFF Summer Silhouettes

Hello, Friends!

Good Friday Morning to you!  I hope you have all had a great week.  I'm looking forward to some stamping time this weekend to play with my new goodies from the 2013-14 SU Catalog!

My card today has a couple of "new to me" products on it.  I loved the stamp set "Summer Silhouettes" as soon as I saw it last year.  I believe I got it on my very first order, but then I got sick and never made anything with it.  The Sizzix Delicate Doilies Sizzlit also came out during that time, but I just ordered it.  I love the simple country cozy feel they both give to my card today made with our Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch.  You can see more cards made with this sketch at www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com.  We'd love you to make your own card with it and share it with us there, too!

Happy Stamping!

MDS Mon-nesday Groucho Marx Quote

Hello, Friends!

It's not exactly Monday, but it's close, so this is my MDS Monday project.
Who knows?  Maybe I'm just really early for next week!

I have this quote on an old t-shirt that has seen better days so I decided to preserve it for future generations with My Digital Studio.  A couple of clicks here and there, some text, and I was done!

In my old house, I had a Wiener Dog Wall with pictures of Frank and other wiener dog art.  If there's a Wiener Dog Wall in my new house (and why wouldn't there be???), this will be a new addition.

Happy Stamping or MDS-ing

SFF Mosaic Madness

Hello, Friends!

Happy Friday!  Have you had a chance to check out the new 2013-2014 Stampin' Up catalog?  It's wonderful!  One of the fun new sets is "Mosaic Madness" and it matches the new Specialty Designer Series Paper, "Quatefancy."  There is also a matching punch!  Way to go, SU!

My card features a favorite yellow, Daffodil Delight, but it also features the new pink Strawberry Slush.  It's delicious and the name makes me wish I had an actual strawberry slushie drink right now!  Strawberry Slush is one of the new In Colors for 2013-2015.  It works great with these bright colors, but also works well with soft colors which you'll see in the future, I'm sure.

My sketch comes from Sketch Frenzy Friday.  I wasn't sure what to make when I first saw it, but I love the upbeat notecard I have waiting for someone who could use their day brightened up a bit.  You can check out the other cards made with this sketch by going to www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com

If you haven't seen the new catalog, make time to check it out soon.  See you on Monday for a MDS Monday project!

Happy Stamping!
