SQSC41 Look Who's Turning

Hello, Friends!

This is my last post with projects made from the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up Idea Book & Catalog.
I chose a fun set, "Look Who's Turning" to send out this year.  It's a cute but simple birthday card I'll use for a special friend.  That ostrich is pretty cute and always made me happy when I saw it while flipping through my catalog.  Out with the old and on Friday, it will be in with the new!  Thanks to Stampin' Queens for another great sketch!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

LNS Love is in the Air and FTL192 with Mixed Bunch

Hello, Friends!

Today, I combined two challenges.  The sketch comes from "Clean and Simple Stamping."  If you've followed my blog for very long, you know clean and simple are my style!  This week's LNS Challenge is to create wedding projects.  I know this isn't the traditional white, but I had it in mind for a wedding I'll be attending this coming weekend.  I love the elegant, simple feel to my wedding card and wish the bride and groom all the best!

If you missed the Mixed Bunch stamp set or Blossom punch from the mini catalog, don't worry!  Both items are featured in the new catalog beginning on Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Hello, Friends!

I have combined our Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge with the Late Night Stampers Challenge and made another masculine card.  I'm going to miss the stamp set "Uncharted Territory."  It was my go to set when I needed to make a masculine card!  As I showed on Monday, "Well Worn" was my go to Designer Series Paper for masculine cards, as well.  Now that they're both retiring, I'll have to find something new!

Break out your retiring products and make a card to share with us in our challenges.

Happy Stamping!

LNS Masculine Challenge with SSC256 Perfectly Penned

Hello, Friends!

I created this card today for our Late Night Stampers Masculine Card Challenge.  I have a lot of terrific men who serve in our elementary ministry at church.  I decided to make a "thank you" card so I would have it on hand when one of our guys goes above and beyond the call of duty.  (I probably should make 10 of these if that's the criteria for getting one!)
My sketch came from Stamping 411's Saturday challenge.  I'm going to miss the "Wonderfully Worn" background stamp and the "Well Worn" Designer Series Paper.  They're great for making masculine cards!  They are still available for purchase until May 31st if you're interested.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Perfectly Penned Stamp Set and Wonderfully Worn Background Stamp

VC Rocks Blog Hop- Have a Heart with Twitterpated

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to the first VC Rocks Blog Hop of 2012!
You can begin our blog hop by clicking here.  If you've been following the hop, you probably came from Elizabeth Harris' blog, Love 2 Stamp

For my stop on the hop, I wanted to use the perfect paper for hearts, "Twitterpated."  It's so sweet and romantic!  I used the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut a heart out of my Riding Hood Red Cardstock.  Then, I used a variety of Twitterpated papers to fill in my heart, giving it a bit of a quilted look.  I finished my card by adding more Twitterpated Blushing Bride paper for my background and Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon in a bow on the side.  The silver brads give the card a little more depth and texture.  I decided my card needed a little more to it, so I added "stitching" with a white gel pen around the outside of the heart.  This adds to the quilted look.  Ironically, there is no stamping on my Stampin' Up card.  With all the great matching products, I didn't add anything stamped this time.  This is very unusual for me but I'm pleased with how my card turned out!

I hope you've enjoyed my card and will continue on the rest of our blog hop!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up suppliet to make this card:

Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red Card Stock
Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
1/2" Blushing Bride Stitched-Poly Ribbon
Metallic Brads
Big Shot

SFF and LNS Challenge Paper, Glorious Paper with Nursery Nest

Hello, Friends!

It's Friday!  Woo Hoo!

Today, my card was designed by following our Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.  I didn't need a baby card at the moment, but I'm sure I will sooner or later, so I made this one featuring the Nursery Nest Designer Series paper.  The use of Paper, Glorious Paper also qualifies it for our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week.  It was super easy, quick and didn't require a lot of supplies for new stampers out there who don't have a room full yet.  :)

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set
Basic Gray Classic Ink
Whisper White, Blushing Bride, and Marina Mist Card Stock
Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper
Word Window Punch

SQSC39 and LNS Paper Challenge with Happiest Birthday Wishes

Hello, Friends!

On Monday, I admitted that I didn't get my Mother's Day card made and in the mail in time for Sunday. Well, my Dad's birthday was Monday and I didn't get his card made and in the mail for his birthday, either. On the bright side, I was equally rude to both of them so at least they know I don't have a favorite. Work really gets in the way of my free time when I could be stamping. :)

My sketch today comes from Stampin' Queens. I used lots of Designer Series Papers to go along with the LNS Challenge this week, "Paper, Glorious Paper." I used to not use my paper. What if something came up that was perfect for the sheet I had already used? Then, I realized that was silly and started cutting those pieces up. I love it!

Both the red and white papers and the sentiment stamp will be retired on May 31st. If you can't live without them, please let me know! I'd love to place an order for you.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make this card:

Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess Stamp Set
Real Red Classic Ink
Whisper White, Real Red, and Night of Navy Card Stock

FTL190 and LNS Paper Glorious Paper Challenges Three Little Words

Hello, Friends!

This is my belated Mother's Day card.  Last week was crazy and I didn't have time to stamp. My Mom will actually see this card in her inbox before she sees it in her mailbox.  So...
Happy Mother's Day, Mom!
Frank and I love you very much!

Today's sketch comes from Clean and Simple Stamping.  Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to feature Designer Series Paper.  My colors came from that challenge, creating my card around Stampin' Up's "Cheerful Treat" Designer Series Paper.  The stamps are from two more retiring sets, "Greenhouse Garden" and "Three Little Words."  The stamps and paper are only available through the end of May.

Happy Stamping!

Hello, Friends!

It's Friday!  I made a similar card with this stamp set earlier this year.  I love these little frogs so I wanted to share another card with this set, "Turtle and Co." before it retires.  The sketch comes from Sketch Frenzy Friday and it fits the LNS Challenge Sorry to See You Go for retiring products.  My card doesn't match the sketch exactly, but it was definitely inspired by it.

Happy Stamping!

SQSC38 and LNS Sorry To See You Go with Flight of the Butterfly

Hello, Friends!

This week, our Stampin' Queens sketch was a little bit hard for me to come up with a card made from it.  However, once I figured it out, I was really happy with the sweet butterfly I used from the retiring stamp set, "Flight of the Butterfly."  I'm going to miss those butterflies and the punch that goes with them!  If you see something you can't live without, please let me know and I'd be happy to order it for you!

Happy Stamping!

TSSC220 and LNS Sorry to See You Go with Not So Seriously

Hello, Friends!

Of all the stamp sets retiring at the end of May, "Not So Seriously" is the one I'll miss the most!  Just in case it's not obvious, it's because it has a wiener dog in it!  I had to feature it for today's card from Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge card.  I used her color scheme as well, as it worked perfect for the puppies!  Because it's a retiring set, as all my cards are for this week, it also fits our LNS Challenge Sorry to See You Go, featuring retiring Stampin' Up products.

We'll miss you, Wiener Dog and Friends!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Not So Seriously Stamp Set
Really Rust, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Basic Gray and Basic Black Classic Inks

SQSC37 Flower Fest

Hello Friends!

It's Wednesday already so that means it's time for a Stampin' Queens card!
Today, I used the retiring set, "Flower Fest" to make a belated birthday card for my sweet friend, Debra.  She can always put a smile on my face, so I wanted to make a happy card for her.  I've already given it to her along with lunch at Pei Wei, one of our favorite restaurants.  She liked the card (and the lunch) so it was a success!

Happy Stamping!
