SFF Aviary

Hello, Friends!

Congratulations on making it through another week!

I needed to make a "new baby" card and this week's Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch was perfect.  I used the "Aviary" set with matching "Nursery Nest" Designer Series Paper.  Since the paper, ink, ribbon, and card stock all match it was a snap to create this simple and quick card.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Aviary and Short and Sweet Stamp Sets
Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist and Basic Gray Classic Inks
Whisper White, Marina Mist and Basic Gray Card Stock
Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper
1/2" Pear Pizzazz Stitched-Poly Ribbon
Word Window and Modern Label Punches

CCMC194 Everybunny

Hello, Friends!

I can't tell you enough how much I love the "Everybunny" Stampin' Up stamp set.  Those bunnies (and one chick) are soooo sweet.  I just want to stamp them, color them, and cuddle with them!  So, I had to use them on another card before Easter arrives.  I know that Easter is not about bunnies, but about my Savior conquering death for all who believe in him.  I also know that Jesus made bunnies and I think He might think these bunnies are pretty cute, too.  :)

Thanks to Create with Connie and Mary for another great sketch!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make this card:

Everybuny Stamp Set
Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Suede and Early Espresso Classic Inks

Berry Blossoms Designer Series Paper

SFF and LNS165 Challenge Easter Dove

Hello, Friends!

I hope you've had a great week and are going to have an even better weekend!  My week has been crazy busy, but good.  I had a chance to stamp today (Thursday) and it's always nice to make some time for a hobby I love!

My card was inspired by two different challenges.  The Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch was hard for me to figure out what I was going to do at first.  Although, I did know that I wanted to use the "Easter Dove" stamp for the sentiment.  When paired with the LNS Picture Challenge this week, I was able to design a card that made me happy.  It's not my usual style, but I liked it and hope you do, too!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Easter Dove A la Carte Stamp
Basic Black Classic Ink
Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker
Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, and Basic Black Card Stock
Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon

TSSC213 Everybunny

Hello, Friends!

Good Monday Morning to you!  I hope this Easter card starts your week off on a good foot.  I love this set, "Everybunny."  The bunnies are so adorable.  I just want to pick one up and cuddle with it!  This particular bunny is flying by to wish you a "Happy Easter."  I stamped the egg balloon on a separate piece of card stock, colored it, and put it on with Stampin' Dimensionals so the balloon sticks out from the rest of the card.  You can see a little bit of the shadow in the picture.

Today's sketch comes from Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  She always has amazing sketches that take the guesswork out of making a card!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Everybunny Stamp Set
Pretty in Pink, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze and Night of Navy Classic Inks

Whisper White, Baja Breeze and Night of Navy Card Stock

SQSC30 Domestic Goddess

Hello, Friends!

Isn't this a fun sketch?  It's for our Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge this week.  Since spring is here and Easter will soon be here, I chose the Domestic Goddess paper to make my stripes.  I started by just using the floral and plaid papers, but decided an extra little strip of gingham paper over the seams made the card look better.   I love how light and happy it is.  For an unusal twist, there is no stamping on this card!  I'll add a sentiment inside when I decide how I'm going to use it.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Whisper White and Calypso Coral Card Stock
Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper
3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon

CCMC192 and LNS Easter Challenge Crosses of Hope

Hello, Friends!

It is Sunday night and I'm tired so I'm posting this card and calling it a night!

Our LNS Challenge this week is to make Easter cards and projects.  I love Easter!  The fact that Jesus came to earth, died on the cross to take away my sins and allow me to live with Him forever is reason to celebrate!  I pray that you, too, will find the joy and peace that only He can offer.  With that in mind, I created this simple card with the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.

Happy Easter and Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up supplies to make this card:

Crosses of Hope and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets
Calypso Coral and Pool Party Classic Inks

SFF and LNS Color Combos Challenge Card You're My Type

Hello, Friends!

I hope you've had a wonderful week!  It's hard to believe we're getting into the middle of March already!  This year is flying by quickly!

My card today is based on our Sketch Frenzy Friday design.  My rectangles aren't the same shape like the sketch, but I wanted to use the new set, "You're My Type" for this card.  It's not my usual style, but I was really happy with it.  I like how the Victoria Crochet Trim softens the card.  I stamped the typewriter twice and cut out the piece of paper coming up from inside the machine.  I stamped "thank you" on it and then put it on the original design with a Stampin' Dimensional.  This gives it a little more texture.  It may be hard to see in the picture, but the Basic Black card stock has been embossed for more texture as well.

Basic Black, Real Red, and Very Vanilla are another color combination I like.  It fits for another example of a Favorite Color Combination for the Late Night Stampers Challenge this week.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

You're My Type Stamp Set
Basic Black Classic Ink
Very Vanilla, Real Red, and Basic Black Card Stock
First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper
Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Big Shot
Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Stamping!

SQSC29 and LNS Color Combos Card Season of Friendship

Hello, Friends!

The LNS Challenge this week is to create a card (or other project) using your favorite color combinations.  For as long as I can remember, I loved the "rainbow" combination.  Some things never change!  All of my card stock is still arranged in "rainbow" order by Stampin' Up family!

I created this card using rainbow colors to show off one of my favorite combinations.  It's nothing fancy, but is just a sweet little card.  The sketch came from the Stampin' Queens challenge for this week.  I had to turn my card to be able to fit more rows of circles.  I'm also too particular to have that many tiny circles since they would have to be lined up just right!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Season of Friendship Stamp Set
Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, and Concord Crush Classic Inks
Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Garden Green, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry and Concord Crush Card Stock
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

TSSC211, CCMC191, LNS Favorite Color Combos Mixed Bunch

Hello, Friends!

I hope you had a great weekend!  I had Thursday and Friday off last week, so I was able to make some time for stamping!  Woo Hoo!  It was so much fun.  I can't wait to share the cards I made with you over the coming weeks.

Today's card was the product of a few different challenges.  The LNS Challenge this week is to share your favorite color combinations.  It just so happened that one of my favorites was on Create with Connie and Mary this week!  I think Island Indigo is a color I tend to forget, but everytime I use it I love it!  The sketch comes from Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Instead of hearts, I used flowers because it's felt like spring in Phoenix for the last few weeks!

If you've been as busy as I have been, take some time to relax and break out your stamps!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Mixed Bunch Stamp Set
So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, and Island Indigo Classic Inks
Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, and Island Indigo Card Stock
2011-2013 In Colors Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
1 1/4" Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

SFF, PPA130, and LNS Go Green Challenge Just Believe

Hello, Friends!
Long time, no blog.

February was an incredibly busy month.  We had a Family Worship Night (think dinner, lesson, games, craft, take home bag extravaganza), Winter Camp where we took 53 4th-6th graders and 10 leaders to camp for the weekend, a conference, and a house guest (wonderful!) all within 2 weeks.  It was crazy.  Throw in some blogger issues and I was down for the count.  Thankfully, March is much less busy and there is some serious stamping time in my future.
Because I was a little behind, I rolled three challenges into this card.  First, it's Friday so it's Sketch Frenzy Friday time for the design of the card.  Then, Pals Paper Arts and Late Night Stampers are both Going Green this week.  So my card fits both of their challenges.

If you've been checking my blog the past couple of weeks, thanks for hanging in there.  Life with a Wiener Dog has calmed down and there are some fun cards headed your way.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Just Believe and Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Sets
