SQSC15 Snow Much Fun

Hello, Friends!
It's time for another Stampin' Queens sketch challenge!  I love snowmen and the only way I'm going to see them in southern Arizona is if I stamp them!  So, I've used "Snow Much Fun" for a lot of cards here recently.  I think this one turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself.  I love happy cards that bring a smile to the recipient's face and I think this one qualifies!

Be sure to make your own card with this sketch and share it with us at Stampin Queens Sketch Challenge here

TSSC202 and LNS Gift Card Challenge Forest Festivities

Hello, Friends!

This week the Late Night Stampers Challenge is to make a gift card holder.  So, I decided to make my gift card a part of the front of my actual card so I would have plenty of room to write inside.  I used Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge for my basic design.  I flipped the elements on the card so my fox wasn't staring off into space though!  It's a very simple card, but I think it's a cute one.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Forest Festivities Stamp Set and Wonderfully Worn Background Stamp
Real Red, Cajun Craze, and Lucky Limeade Classic Inks
Basic Black Stazon Ink
Real Red, Cajun Craze, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers
Whisper White, Real Red, and Lucky Limeade Card Stock
Modern Label and Scallop Edge Border Punches
Punch Windows Magnetic Movers and Shapers

SFF Forest Festivities

Hello, Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Frank and I had a great day.  For those of you that wondered, he didn't mind the turkey suit at all.  He was tired of me taking his picture!  He's so smart that he knows when you're getting ready to take it and will look away.  I can't tell you how many blury pictures I have from him turning his head at the last second!  Sometimes he's too smart!  To him, the turkey suit was just a fluffy shirt which he liked.  He does draw the line at hats, though, which is why there's only one with the whole turkey suit on as it was intended.  I figure Frank has a really good life, so a couple times a year, he can let me dress him up to bring lots of smiles to his friends-especially when it's Franksgiving!

Now back to stamping!

I used the Sketch Frenzy Friday oval design to start my card.  I had to turn my oval to fit the "Merry Christmas" sentiment on it.  I think it's a sweet little card and I'm happy with the way it turned out.  On Monday, I will have another card featuring this stamp set.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Forest Festivities Stamp Set
Real Red, Bravo Burgundy, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso, and Basic Gray Classic Inks
Whisper White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, and Crumb Cake Card Stock
1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon
Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink
Modern Label Punch
Frame, Oval Scallop
Punch Windows Movers and Shapers
Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
Big Shot

TSSC201 and LNS Challenge Snow Much Fun!

Woo Hoo!!!  I finally got to stamp!

It has been over a month since I last was able to stamp and it was great to finally be able to make this card!  (I had made several cards early to post while I was on vacation.)  Stamping is more than just a hobby for me.  It's a way to relax and be creative.  I've missed it and am glad to be back!

Today's sketch comes from Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  I didn't follow the sketch exactly so I was able to get all of my pieces to fit onto my card.  The Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to create a Christmas card using non-traditional colors.  My pink and green card is definitely out of the ordinary, but still cheery and fun.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Snow Much Fun Stamp Set
Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, and Lucky Limeade Classic Inks
Black Stazon Ink
Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Black Card Stock
Cheerful Treat Designer Series Paper (Hostess Level 1)

Alive and Well...pretty much

I just wanted to let everyone know that Frank and I are alive and well...pretty much.

Frank is doing very well.  His hearing has improved a lot over the last few weeks.  He can hear me when I talk to him and will come from anywhere in the house when I call him.  He can hear some noises outside.  He doesn't bark at everything he used to hear, but it is much better than it was.  He's happy because I am so thankful when he does hear a noise that he gets to bark longer than usual!  (Frank doesn't stop barking if you tell him, "no."  He only stops when you tell him "good dog."  Apparently he prefers postive reinforcement since he's being a good dog and protecting me.)

Unfortunately, I haven't been as good as Frank.  I went on a wonderful vacation and had all of my cards made ahead of time and set to post, which they did.  However, I came home with the worst stomach flu I've ever had in my life!  It started on the plane on my way back to Arizona.  You know it's bad when the stewardess keeps checking in on you because you're throwing up and you're so sick you can't leave the bathroom!  I was sick for a week and then it took another week to regain my strength.

About the time I recovered from the flu, I threw my back out.  I had to crawl on my hands and knees to get to the kitchen where I had medicine that would help with the pain and tight muscles.  The funny part of this is that Frank thought we were playing, since I get on my hands and knees to play with him.  I'm crawling through the house about to die and Frank is jumping, running, and barking, having a grand old time!

So, I still don't have a new card to show you.  My back is better than when it went out, but I couldn't stand to make anything tonight.  Hopefully by the end of the week everything will be working right at the same time.  ;)

For those of you who can stand to sit and create...

Happy Stamping!
