SFF Batty for You

Hello, Friends!

This is a simple Halloween card I made based on today's Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch.
I stamped the pictures and then punched them out with the 1" circle punch and put them on their backgrounds with words with Stampin' Dimensionals.  This makes the picture inside each circle stand out from the card.  Unfortunately, this also makes it hard to get a good picture!  So, although it looks like the pictures block the words, they don't on the actual card.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Batty For You Stamp Set
Tangering Tango, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry Classic Inks
Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers
Very Vanilla, Tango Tangerine, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock
Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
Circle and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punches
Circle Scissors
1 1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

SQSC10 Four Frames and Gently Falling

Hello, Friends!

I used the sketch this week from Stampin' Queens to make this fall card.  It is so simple, yet I love how it turned out.  Because of the leaves, it also fits the LNS Challenge to create a project with leaves or trees.

When I was looking for a sentiment to fit into the "Four Frames" set, "no matter what" really stuck out to me.  I'm not sure who this card will go to eventually, but I know I will be able to tell them I'm here, no matter what.
Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Gently Falling, Four Frames and Petite Pairs Stamp Sets
Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Classic Inks
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Card Stock
First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper
Decorative Label Punch
3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon

Happy Stamping!

This is the card I created for our Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge this week.  My card is a little bit different than the sketch, but I still tried to incorporate all of the elements.  I just can't get enough fall cards this year, as you'll see over the next few weeks!  Hopefully you're in an area with fall and can enjoy the changing colors for me!  If you are, take a moment to stop and enjoy them.  Don't take them for granted!

Frank is Improving!

I am so happy to report that Frankfurter's hearing is getting better!  We put him on steroids last week to try and remove any inflamation from his ears.  This seemed to help.  He can definitely hear me when I am in the same room with him now.  He can also hear when I call him from another room.  This is a huge improvement from last week when he couldn't always hear me when we much closer.  He has also started to bark at noises outside.  Sometimes, I don't hear them, but by the way he barks, he definitely does!  I used to tell him to stop barking when he would hear those noises, but now, I'm sooo happy he gets to bark all he wants!  I'm not sure how long this will last, but I'm pretty sure it's going to go on for quite some time!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and tips for Frank and I.  I know he's my dog so I think he's wonderful, but he has such a fun personality with his own very clear likes and dislikes.  It absolutely broke my heart to find out he was hurt.  Thanks, again!

With love,
Angela and Frank

SSC225 and LNS 123 Challenge Field Flowers

Hello, Friends!

Today, I've combined two different challenges to create this card.  I used the sketch challenge from Stamping 411 for the design of the card.  The second challenge was a little bit more difficult!  The LNS Design Team challenge this week is "123."  You are to use one stamp set, two embellishments and three colors.  This is harder than you might think because I needed a stamp set with a sentiment to put on my card.  "Field Flowers" is a beautiful stamp set and it had a sentiment I wanted to use for this card.  It's for my Mom's birthday coming up this Sunday.  I warned her not to look at my blog today, but just in case she forgot,

"Happy Birthday, Mom and Grandma!  Love from me and Frank!"

Frank loves his Grandma and Grandpa very much, so the card has to be from him too!  When I talk to them on the phone, I can say, "Frankfurter, telephone."  He will come and listen to them talk to him on speaker phone.  He will wag his tail and even kissed the phone once.  He's a sweetie.

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Field Flowers (One Stamp Set)
Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, and Always Artichoke Classic Inks (Three Colors)
Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke Card Stock
Regals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
1 1/4" Cajun Craze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (One Embellishment)
Hemp Twine (One Embellishment)
Circle Scissors Plus
Stampin Dimensionals

SFF Perfectly Penned with Paisley Petals DSP

Hello, Friends!

I have to admit something.  This is the fastest card I've ever made.  It's actually Thursday, my day off, and I've been stamping a lot today to get ahead on my blog postings.  So, when I went to put my card on for Friday, which starts in a couple of hours, I realized I had made the wrong card for this week's sketch.  (On the bright side, the next two Friday's cards are finished!)

So, now it's getting late, I'm tired, ready for bed, and just found out I needed a different card.  Thanks to Stampin' Up for making products that all work together.  A couple of Designer Series Papers and stamp sets and my card was complete.  Now it's Thursday nite nite for me.  See you in the morning when you read this!

Happy Stamping!

My Sweet Frankfurter

Let me start by saying right off the bat that Frank is alright.  I know some of you will worry when you see this that Frank might have passed away, but he hasn't.
I also know how many of you who follow my blog like my cards but love Frankfurter.  It's okay.  I love Frank way more than my cards, too.

Frank had an ear infection in both of the ears when we went to the vet almost two weeks ago.  I put drops in his ears for a week to get rid of the infection, but noticed this weekend that he couldn't hear me when I talked to him or walked into a room.  I thought it was just the infection and his ears were plugged up or swollen so we went back to the doctor today.  The infection is gone, however there are side effects of using ear drops.  Of course they are rare, but do happen.  One of the side effects can be hearing loss, which can be temporary or permanent.

Frank is definitely dealing with this side effect right now.  He hasn't lost his hearing completely.  He can hear you if you say his name loudly when you are right beside him.  We are praying that this will only be temporary and soon he will be back to barking at every little noise he hears!  His vet is wonderful and was very upset that this had happened.  I know she only did what she thought was best for him.  (Frank is quite a hit at the vet's office.  Everyone says, "HI, Frank!" when he comes in.)

Right now, we're just waiting to see what happens.  Either way, he's still my sweet little wiener dog and nothing will ever change that!  He acts the same, he just can't hear.  His nose still works because he smelled the leftover pizza I heated up in the microwave last night!

I know some people think it's crazy to pray for animals, so if you don't want to pray for Frank, feel free to pray for me!  I know we all did what we thought would help him, but I still feel awful that this has happened to him.

Thank you to all of you who are Frank fans!

Angela

SFF Crazy for Cupcakes

Hello, Friends!

I hope you've had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.  I am happy to announce that it has finally cooled off in Phoenix!  Our high today is going to be in the 70s!  It's going back up after that, but not back to 110, so I'm happy!  If I could just get rid of these allergy related migraines and horrible headaches, I'd be on cloud nine!

Now to stamping- my card today features the sketch challenge from our Sketch Frenzy Friday team.  My mind was spinning with all of the different cards I could make with it, but since I always need birthday cards, this is what I settled on.  I think it's a happy little card.  I love Stampin' Up's "Just Add Cake" Designer Series Paper.  It's perfect for birthdays or other happy occassions!

Happy Stamping!

TSSC194 and LNS Challenge Out On A Limb

Hello, Stampers!

I have to admit, I'm not much of a Halloween person.  It's cute and fun for the kids (and a cute little wiener dog in his costume!)  However, I don't decorate and go all out for it (except for the cute little wiener dog in his costume.)

Even though I'm not a Halloween enthusiast, I do love this cute little witch from the "Out on a Limb" stamp set.  So, I used her to create this card for our Halloween challenge over on Late Night Stampers.  Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge gave me the design for my card.  It think it turned out cute!

Happy Stamping!

I used the following Stampin' Up products to make this card:

Early Espresso and Basic Black Classic Inks
Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers
Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Black Card Stock
